overpriced semi-authentic mexican food. if you're a white yuppie that knows nothing about mexican food and want to pretend to be cosmopolitan it's perfect for you, if you want good mexican food go somewhere else.

owners are liars. be aware! the owners are liars.

we purchased a $25 coupon from restaurant.com. when we asked for the check and presented the coupon, the owners said they don't work with restaurant.com anymore and to get our money back. then, i called restaurant.com, i was told the restaurant is still in the program, and that the owners probably didn't know how the program worked... seriously?? can you come up with a better excuse and just accept the fact that owners lied??

so a negative review also goes for restaurant.com for not carefully checking the vendors, and by the way, restaurant.com cannot give you money back, they can only issue you an exchange.

this restaurant used to be busy most of the time. now it's nearly empty many evenings. i don't know what changed, but i still enjoy eating there with my family and friends. i haven't explored the menu thoroughly, as i have a few favorites that i go back to over and over again. the restaurant has a cozy, quiet atmosphere and is a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal and conversation.

best mexican restaurant in the philadelphia area. i have eaten here several times trying something different each time. each meal was excellent. the free chips and salsas were fantastic! i wanted to buy some to take home. this place ranks right up there with places i enjoyed in mexico, arizona and san diego.

very good. delicious, authentic mexican food in a relatively safe area of norristown. the prices were slightly higher than i expected but worth it. i have been there several times and it is always good. i recommend the tacos and the pollo mole.

when in the burbs, one of the few places to get decent mexican food is at la michoacana in norristown. some of you might be afraid, but really, it's not that scary in norristown. especially in the middle of the day, one should not be scared. requisite chips and salsas… the red one was a bit spicy, the green one was meh, and the pico de gallo was nice and fresh. the milanesa torta… it's weird getting french fries with mexican food, isn't it? the menu says mexi

chiles rellenos. the chilies rellenos is my favorite dish here. we always enjoy the food and the chips and salsa have always been free. you can take a large group of friends and not break the bank.

update from my last review. okay. i tried to be nice about this place in my first review. but after today, i'm too peeved to be nice. first of all, our server asked us if we wanted chips and salsa, but failed to mention that the chips and salsa here is a $4 appetizer. not a problem, if i had been made aware of that fact, but i don't like paying for something that you usually get for free at a restaurant. they might want to mention that before offering it to you. then, i ordered a vegetarian quesadilla. a chicken something or other was brought to me. i thought they had just brought me the wrong thing and that my new item would resemble the quesadillas i have always had in the past. no. apparently, this is the only mexican restaurant on the planet where a quesadilla is not a tortilla filled with melted cheese (and whatever else you request in it). what was on my plate was a horrible concoction of raw vegetables and unmelted cheese of some variety. it was the greasiest mess i have ever laid eyes on and tasted just as bad as it looked. i will definitely not be returning here in the future.

decent food, but overpriced. this restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who used to live in the area. we love mexican food and are new to the area, so decided to check it out. the restaurant is really cute, with great decor and a great atmosphere. the food was pretty good, although i was not a fan of the chips or the salsa. the margaritas were not great, tasted like they were from a mix rather than from scratch (not to mention they were overpriced at almost $8 for a regular, more for top-shelf). the service was good. our server was very nice and answered any questions we had. it's nice that this place is so close to where we live, but i doubt we will be visiting often because of the prices.

i'm not a white yuppie by any stretch of the imagination and i rate this place as good and authentic. but don't take my word, ask any of the patrons (98% of whom are latinos).
