cheap and filling tacos if you order multiple at one time (come to $6.80 each taco). all their flavours are great. their habanero sauce is so hot. beware, don't tip a whole litre onto yourtacolike i did

this is a great hole in the wall shop with communal seating outside. and they serve awesome tacos! i ordered the fishtacoand the chicken taco, with a margarita. the best tacos i've had, super tasty, fresh ingredients, and just the right mix of meat and salad. and you must try the margarita. very refreshing and matches perfectly with the tacos. reasonably priced too, will definitely come back.

i love this cute littletacoplace. we decided not to go on our first day but so glad we made the choice to go on our last day. open kitchen concept, friendly staff and tacos to die for. had four different tacos with bajaman (prawns) being my fave. just wished mytacoshell was a tad less crispy coz it cracked on my first bite. still good, highly recommend!

if you are looking for authentic-tasting mexican tacos, tacomedic is probably as close you’ll find in new zealand. located down a side street in queenstown lives this tiny little craft taqueria selling tacos made with corn masa tortillas and 8 different fillings to choose from (including two vege & two pesky options)!⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧/ i couldn’t resist ordering this as baja tacos were what we lived off when we were in mexico. mytacocame with the fried fish of the day (which unexpectedly turned out to be shrimp), green slaw, tomato salsa, lime, coriander and a creamy mayo sauce. the fillings balanced each other well but i definitely had to add a lot of extra salsa picante to a sufficient hit of flavour. not quite the same as in mexico but it certainly tasted more authentic than most the tacos you get in nz! 8/10⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚- this was the only straight vegan option on the menu, and contained a spiced walnut cutlet, red slaw, avocado vegan mayo, tomato salsa and coriander. there was a lot more sauce on this one than the bajaman which was appreciated as the cutlet would have been a little bit dry without. however, the texture and flavour of the cutlet was good and it was nice to have a vegan option that wasn’t just beans or vegetables for a change! 8/10⁣

we stumbled on this food truck hiding in the backstreet of queenstown. the tacos were so delicious, tasty and light but packed a punch. it’s very informal with some bench seating outside the truck. prices are really good. our favouritetacowas the baja fish taco. a perfect spot to fix that hunger.

prior to making my trip to queenstown, i decided to do some research on popular food spots within the town and that's when i saw some rave reviews abouttacomedic (tm). when i think soft shell tacos, i am quite contained with my excitement to eat them. however, this all changed with tm and their overall experience.

setup: 4.5/5
this is a hidden gem down searle lane (lane next to cookie time bar). might be a little hard to find at first but once you get near the end of the lane, you will see the signage. cute little setup, food truck like cabin with small seating area outside. during busy times, i assume many must have to eat while standing. seating area is also covered, for new zealand's unpredictable weather patterns.

staff: 5/5
staff were super friendly and the lad standing at the counter was super informative of the food being served and provided honest opinions. also informed us of what sauce/salsa should be paired with each taco.

price: 4.5/5
prices for atacoare a standard $7 across the spread. may seem steep, but the tacos are priced on the quality and not the portion size i believe.

food: 5/5
i was skeptical to begin with. being from auckland, our mexican cuisine is quite average to say the least and soft shell tacos are usually quite underwhelming in an overall aspect (size, filling and taste). i ordered two tacos (could have and should have got more), "the bajaman" (battered fish) and "the bushman" (pork). i started with the fish, the fish tasted fresh and was lightly battered to perfection. it was accompanied by a sharp sauce which provided a great tangy offset to the fish. i then got started on the porktacoand with my first bite i was flung straight to the doors of heaven and welcomed by sweet baby jesus. the pork was was so tender, juicy and oh so flavoursome. tm added a nice touch by adding generous amounts of pork crackling, the perfect touch to top off this top notch taco.

overall: 5/5
i understand that my rating doesn't add up because of the sub-ratings i have done up. but from an overall perspective i believe this was a 5 star performance from tm. my only small and potentially nonexistent problems are the limited seating and slightly steep pricing. but the more the i think about it, the more i believe the pricing is reasonable based on the quality of the ingredients being used and the taste of the food. as for the seating arrangement, they do their best with the limited space they have. overall, if you're looking for mouth orgasm food with a food truck atmosphere, this is where you need to be. believe the hype when you see it.

i actually can't believetacomedic is only rated 3.3/5. it was quite possibly the best and freshest tacos i've ever devoured. what a mighty explosion of flavours. my partner and i were so impressed that we returned for another feast. consistently amazing and awesome service!

i found the stockman, which is a beeftacoquite tasty, enjoyed it with some mango chilli sauce on top, wish it was a little bigger, you would need 2-3 to fill you up for lunch. i would go back for the same one ago, tasty tortilla & friendly staff.

went for a 10km walk and needed a pick me up snack. it's hole in the wall and the staff were friendly. i had the producer (vegetarian) taco, which was black beans, pumpkin and goats cheese. mine was delicious and the spicy sauce made it perfect. the bf had the fisherman and he said the fish was cooked to perfection. though he said it was a small serving. eachtacois $7 and is packed with flavour. the banter with the staff alone, is worth a visit!

bland and expensive. stopped here after an enjoyable loge and gondola ride. being the number one plus to eat in queenstown i was expecting a lot from my feta, bean and pumpkintacowith a homemade tortilla. what i got was a lack of flavor and at $7 atacoit just wasn't worth it. my fam tried the other combos such as the fish and beef and said the same thing. this van is in a medical emergency!
