this afternoon my husband and i had some errands to run and supplies to pick up before my nephew and his family got here from indiana for the july 4 holiday. we were over at the bed, bath & beyond plaza when we decided to try steamers of naples seafood restaurant for lunch. we had stopped by once or twice before for dinner but it was always so crowded that we were never able to get in but guess what? at this particular time of the afternoon, there were tables available so we got in!
after getting being seated, we checked out the menu and the specials on the board on the wall. i couldn't decided between the seafood roll or the sea bass special. the sea bass special won over and i had mine blackened and my husband, who got the same thing, had his grilled. we also ordered a bowl of seafood chowder with two spoons.
yum, yum, the chowder was delish - lots of chunky seafood and the flavor was excellent. we probably could have stopped right there but no way, here comes our sea bass and even though it was the lunch portion, there was a lot to it! generous size portion of sea bass in a nice lemon-butter type sauce, grilled asparagus and zucchini, tiny cut tomatoes and very flavorful rice.
my lunch was excellent and we both decided this was a place that we will bring our family and friends to when they come to visit. we wanted a place that hasgoodseafood but wouldn't break the bank, well steamers of naples is it! we had been looking for a seafood place close to home so we didn't have to travel all the way to downtown naples - and we have found it in steamers of naples!
