created by huntington beach-based bj’s restaurants, stacked is a newly conceived eatery that is earning national headlines by eliminating the need for menus and embracing technological advances to streamline ordering. branded as "fast-casual-plus" dining, stacked will provide patrons the ability to customize and design their meals on a tableside apple ipad. according to nation’s restaurant news , patrons will be able to personalize sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, salads and sausage plates, as well as desserts. beer and wine also will be available on the "menu." after diners input their orders via the ipad, servers will deliver the meals. the restaurant also will allow customers to store menu favorites for future visits, and will offer to-go service. the first "stacked: food well built" is stated to open in may 2011 in del amo fashion center in torrance, ca. there are plans to open two additional locations this year, one at san diego's own fashion valley mall this summer

excellent salads

a breath of fresh air for those in search of a healthy option. big fresh salads that can be customised from your table on an tablet. dont like an item? drag it off your order. want extra cheese? drag it on. friendly staff to help if the technology gets too much.

great food with a lot of choice and range. would gladly go back again. i had the mac and cheese with sun dried tomatoes and andoule sausage.

today was my first time at stacked and i can honestly say that it won't be my last. the food was awesome, the service was great and the price was very reasonable. a+++

you can create a burger, pizza, salad or mac ‘n’ cheese with all of your favorite ingredients! and imagine those ingredients are fresh and flavorful, the proteins grilled to order, the vegetables crisp and fresh, the cheeses rich and creamy, the sauces and dressings freshly made from scratch.

this place was fun. you can choose to order with a provided ipad which allows you to totally customize all of the ingedients in your order. the food was a modern inovation on classic comfort food. and the food was sent out surprisingly fast and accurate. i hope this chain thrives and expands eastword!

awful service below average experience. went there 2/14- valentine's day around 1pm. it was an awful experience from the service to the food quality. saw our server at the beginning, when we received our waters (after asking three times, two other individuals including server), when we asked for plates and napkins. the food was not what i had experienced before. disappointed. lack of consistency in service and quality.

stacked is one of those hip new places that you would expect to see in california. the concept is very interesting, you pay for what you get. if you add ingredients you pay more. if you remove ingredients, you pay less. i really like that! we were seated then our waitress came over to tell us a little about the place an

stacked. they have a huge variety on their menu ranging from salads, burgers, fries and pizzas. everything is very customizable so there is sure to be something for everybody!

my husband and i both ordered blue cheese hamburgers and we both agreed they were the best we've had in san diego county.the beef was fresh and tender the lettuce with crisp the tomatoes cold and the bun was perfect. sadly we did not have the amazing sweet potato fries but i'm sure we'll try them next time. our serverwas friendly and attentive.

fun & noisy. the sweet potato fries are fantastic - highly recommend it. just mix and match according to your liking. busy, loud and fun.

love this place!!! sweet potato fries are the best ive ever had! i had a hot chick w/ bacon & cheese... so on point!! my dad had the wake up call & said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. the ordering on the ipad was really fun & interactive. service was excellent & friendly. i would def come back

not bad. innovative ordering. even though the waitress doesn't take the order, they still provide attentive service. fresh food, the way you want it. the only think i didn't care for we're the meatballs on the pizza. not a fan of green peppers. ymmv

great! this was a very fun up beat place with great fresh food. we shared a build it yourself burger, jalapeño bacon mac & cheese and amazing chili cheese fries to start with all for $25.00. you order your meal on an interactive menu on a ipod that also has a place to swipe your card and pay right there, very fun an convenient. the burger had great flavor and every thing was fresh. the mac & cheese was pretty great too, you can anything to it! the chili cheese fries were just as fresh and it was full of flavor. then we decided to order and build your own shake and it just topped off our meal! the wait staff were great and very friendly and helpful, they all seemed to really like being there. we will definitely be back!
