visited thiscafetoday based on the good reviews, but in my view, those reviews took a u-turn.
i won’t hold back in appreciating the ambience and courtesy of the staff on-board, but at the same time, the food i was served is all to be blamed.
ordered the following:
mount view nachos - a decent ‘side kick’ with fresh salsa and warm cheese dips, and nachos topped with pressed kidney beans and some of that warm cheese. but, no wow factor as exaggerated in the reviews.
pepper mushroom sizzler - the dish tasted good, but don’t know why it was called mushroom sizzler when there was only 1 piece of mushroom in it (chopped into thin fine pieces). on the sizzler plate, 70% portion was covered just with a thin layer of rice (with the garlic gravy way more than the rice served), 20% french fries (this was not even mentioned in the description) & finally 10% was for veggies (this literally had just 4-5 chunks of pepper & zucchini together, 1 small piece of carrot, half a piece of babycorn). all this for 419, it gave a hard time thinking if it was worth it in any way.
mint mojito - tasted like one just in the first sip, rest was nothing better than a nimbu-pani with some mint swimming in it. an another disappointment.
bubblegum shake - this was the worst of all ! the item description said that it’s “our way of reminiscing our childhood”, but they missed to add ‘pun intended’ to that. it indeed reminded of my childhood, but of those days when i drank cough syrup. and i would still rate those cough syrups better than this bubblegum shake. please please do not try this one.
sprite - this was of-course good, you all know why.
at the end, i saved some bucks being a zomato pro me never, but i’d rather be happy paying more but with no compromise to the food.
