spice villa

i went to this place with my friends total no of 35 for dinner. it’s a gem hidden away in surat’s most popular famous road ‘‘dumas road’’ but the spice villa hoarding slightly visible from the main road and that’s how we come to know about this place.

the place has a good ambience, surrounded with lot of garden area, deck area, many deem lightings. i have been travelling all my life around many metro cities and have visited almost very high end restaurants in delhi, pune, mumbai but this restaurant has a very sharp ambience along with good service and food, though service could have been better, but i can understand seeing almost 450 people in the restaurant (including people in the waiting area it looked like we have come in some marriage function) the service was 4/5 but still we were happy because they promptly delivered the food items and everything we asked for :)

been on my bookmarks since a while.
finally got a chance to visit their restaurant after several visit and going back without getting the tables due to lot of waiting time..

the place is pretty big and they have created a natural environment with a good landscape around..

food:
1. tandoori stuffed dhasoo aloo, suggested by the server which turned out to be the most unique taste and it was yumillicious 5/5
2. panner gabbar style, again suggested by the server.. the name was fancy but it was regular panner tikka but no doubt the taste was 4/5
3. tried the indian menu regular veggies and roti 4/5
4. the special biryani which has a special spices to feel in as it was not a regular biryani, since i have tried at many places but spice villa had a very authentic taste of biryani.
5. finally we came up with a dessert menu, which is separately designed for a sweet tooth like me.. shocked with the taste of italian tiramisu it was mouth melting and haven’t tried anywhere as such this one, also we were suggested a chocolate panna cotta which again was cherry on a cake, it was made with a melting white chocolate and topped with dark chocolate. 5/5


hats off to the team of spice villa to create such a nice ambience and most importantly the food and service was a first class..

very nice place for a family dinner.. had a banquet b-day party for my niece and it was nicely managed the food and the taste since we had a gathering of many people but my all family members and friends had the same review of the food and the service was prompt

one word... amazing!!! had dinner with my closesr buddies almost after 7 years and spice villa was a perfect choice. sunday 25th august dinner memorable for me and my friends. we requested for a privte villa and the host (girl) denied as they had many reservations. so we were allotted a open area which was also not so bad but the best part of spice villa team was they came to us in middle of our dinner to offer us the villa which got vacant and we were really surprised to feel the special feel from there team .. which made me write this review to highlight the hospitality in surat.
food was again the best part since we asked for the speciality of there restaurant and the server recommended us to order and nothing went wrong with the taste and the presentations of the food 😎😊😊 the server was a trainee which made us feel in the beginning of our order that it might be a trail for us .... and lucikly all the dishes were flawless ..
cottage cheese ratatouille
risotto with mix sauce
leonardo veg soup (fantastic)
seek kabab perfectly roasted
ravioli was tasted like a real italian but modified to indian taste as it had some spices too but the taste was 10/10
truly made for food lovers
team management need to check the seating arrangements in waiting area since it has a lot of waiting ..

amazing food and very cozy and warm ambience.
the theme of the restaurant is indeed crazy with ac glass cubicles(they call as pdr) they have a good number of sitting arranagement
we have tried the indian and oriental menu, its all really good and the presentation is amazing. it’s a must try
food prepared with lot of love and passion.

topic - food : worse, wouldn’t play ₹300 for a soup in that kinda quality
naan were surely ready mate and 100% sure that i was chewing rubber.
they literally served rice with water as the dal has no taste.
also bill had faults. wrong items were added.
1.5 star for restaurant ambience and staff nature.

ambience and food both are amazing. will definitely visit again. the services was also very quick. some food was roasted instead of fried which is very good.

this place is supposed to be one of the fav.place amongst family. tried for my sons bday, came out yo be lil disappointing.
upon request we got one seperate sitting area which is having insufficient lights. the greeting from the staff was missing. the air freshner was quite loud which was spread vth out our concern.
no suggestions were given for ordering food.
asked for avadhi dum biriyani which was with out dum. upon asking , staff argued that order was for avdhi only. the biryani was on the table along with roti and quite cold. presentation of the food was missing. no refilling of plates were done once served.we managed our own.
went with big expectations came out to be real dissapointment.

best place in surat so far visited...

would rate 3 stars for food and ambience. but service went for a toss.
i visited this place on a saturday evening to spend some quality time with my partner and try some good food as well.
food was up to the mark but the management really need to work on providing better service.
i couldn't get the name of the staff, but i felt like i didn't even get some time to breathe in. as soon as i placed my order for starters, the assigned staff was already asking to order main course.
like seriously? i could have visited a fast food joint to have quick bite.
i ordered 2 mocktails for the both of us and meanwhile the order taker interrupted atleast thrice to order for main main course, despite me asking the same person to wait for a while.
at last i didn't feel like spending more time, quickly got done with my meal and felt like leaving the place asap.
plates were not replaced before serving the main course and the steward was about to serve pasta in the same plate in which starters were served.
a big big zero for service at such a fine place.
in addition the steward also added topping on this miserable service by getting the check on the table before even bothering to get any wet tissue or mouth freshener. even a regular restaurant does that guys.
the management needs to provide more efficient training to create a good experience for the customers. fyi, i also noticed the family on my opposite table also left unhappy!

had dinner with my friends yesterday. excellent experience. beautiful ambience, the best in surat. finger licking food. had north indian dinner and chinese starters. all items so well prepared. had tiramisu as dessert. so tasty. superb service. we were seating in one of the villas and it started raining but the service was still so excellent in spite of the rain. excellent service staff with professional service standards. keep up the good work. 5/5 in all. thanks

this place is perfect for a romantic dinner or any special occasion..they serve both ala carte and buffet and offer you north indian chinese and italian cuisine
we took buffet so they charge you 499 plus tax
starters were good the best was paneer tikka and then main course is normal north indian meal
with some salads
dessert was ok ok as moong dal halwa and darshan were too sweet
brownie with ice cream was fine
the ambience is beautiful with lots of lights fountains and all

i had a wonderful experience at spicevilla yesterday. i had visited the restaurant with my family for the dinner, the service was immaculate and our table was handled flawlessly... being the best restaurant in town, one can enjoy the true flavours of authentic indian cuisine. the ambiance is perfect and it will make your day absolutely stunning and relaxed. i had dined at this particular restaurant quiet number of times and every time the consistency particularly the food taste and quality is unchanged. it's one of my favourite spot to hang out for the perfect meal and this place exceeds my expectations every time i visit !

second visit to this place on our second anniversary!
it was a beautiful evening spent together with lively ambience and food.
great effort put up by the staff team of spicevilla in decorating the table and making extra efforts in giving it us a special memory on our special day.
the italian menu of leonardo has gone down a little as it was earlier looking forward for a more better taste next time with enhanced flavours and tastes!
