spaktakular.. i really like the uniqueness of this place. great for fast take out food and healthier, vegetarian options.

by far the best pizza in the city! i love the fresh, local ingredients as well as the owners' commitment to the local community. last summer i went in for a slice during unblurred, and they were ridiculously busy and my order got lost in the shuffle. i hadn't waited long, but it was hot in there and when they realized their mistake they doubled my order for free, asked of they could get me anything else, and told me to bug them sooner next time instead of waiting quietly. totally unnecessary extreme niceness! i only wish more places were this delicious, friendly, and invested in the community. a+!

...i was led to a small pizza joint in bloomfield called spak brothers pizza. after reading dozens of reviews online that said nothing but good things, i decided to take the dive. ive been burned before, but something about this place seemed different. their menu was rather simple, but offered all the usual pizza shop items, wings, and toppings. they even give you a 4th topping free if you order 3 toppings. i was

spak brothers is a great place to get vegan subs, vegan wings, and seitan salads. the vegan pizza is good the only down side is they charge u for vegan cheese as a topping. other than that this is a sure go for vegans and vegetarians.

true story. this is my weekend go-to place. located in the bloomfield neighborhood on penn ave, it's easy to get to and so stinkin' tasty! veggie wings with all different kinds of sauces. philly cheese steak, buffalo style seitan melt (my fav!), veggie peperoni and veggie sausage on yummy spak pizza, simple (yet perfect) curly fries with cheese. you can't go wrong here. there are lots of meat options for your carnivore pals. call them. do it. do it now. (*i stole both these photos from the interwebs- thanks whoever took them!) spak brothers is located on penn ave in bloomfield. used to be a pretty sketchy part of pgh, but due to some great community organizing, and places like spak and the rad book store that is next store (awesome books) this neighborhood is moving up in the world!

best in the burgh. as a meat lover in love with a vegan, it's rather difficult to find a good place where we can both get something delicious (yet greasy) to eat. spaks is perfect. after moving to pittsburgh 4 years ago i had yet to find a pizza place that made me think pittsburghers were capable of making anything but something on par to a tony's microwave pizza. once i went to spaks i never went back. the pizza is to die for and the vegan options make it a go-to place for everyone in my house. also, living in philly where cheesesteak is plentiful, i'd have to say spaks ranks up there as some of the best i've had. it's definitely got something for everyone, and awesome pinball machines to boot!

born and raised in ny, there are only two places i will even consider going to for pizza in pittsburgh, and spak brothers is one of them. great food, awesome service, good prices.

best pizza in pgh. i think the titles says it all...love spak brothers pizza, fresh ingredients, great crust and sauce and reasonably priced, they don't deliver but it's worth the drive to pick it up!...and the bbq seitan wings are great too

good-ish food, sub-par service. i'll admit that while i didn't care for the pizza (it was so wet that the box was soaked through by the time i got it home), the seitan offerings are delicious. i won't be back for them, however, because the service wasn't worth it. if the counter help could have stopped desperately flirting with the female customers for a bit, it wouldn't have been so excruciating to be there.

yummy vegan.. the only thing i've ever had here is the seitan cheese steak and it was delicious. fairly large portion for a nice price.
the place itself is quite small, there is limited seating, mostly along the walls with stools. so going in with a large crowd may not be a great idea.
if i lived closer, i'd go here much more often. :)

soooo good!!!. perfect. i only wish they delivered! pizza is hands down my favorite in pittsburgh. the people who work there are always super nice and friendly. it really makes the difference.
