a great place in miami for a happy hour, spend quality time with friends and listen to live jazz. it has outdoor seating and an efficient service. althoughsoykais a well-known restaurant, we thought its food was not special. the menu ranges from pasta to hamburgers, maybe that's the reason why none of its dishes really stand out.

what we liked the most: turkey meatballs

if you are looking for fresh delicious food, a chill ambiance and an overtly friendly staff then check in to soyka.soykaoffers superb food at very reasonable prices.soykautilizes super fresh ingredients and imports its cheeses and pastas directly from italy. we had the pleasure of dining there the other night and were very impressed. lori, the sweet endearing bartender started us off with her own special concoction, triple muddled berries vodka piña which was deelish. the lychee martinis are killer too...

live music and a chill, laid back and cozy atmosphere is what drew me into soyka.   it was a very late dinner and i was starving so it was right down to business; meaning no cocktails, no appetizers. i decided to go with one of the specials for the night, tilapia stuffed with blue crab. the idea of tilapia turned me off, but i figured if it was stuffed with crab, it wouldn't be so bad. when the dish arrive it was crab (which was tasty) with a piece of bland tilapia on top. it had potential (was cooked right), but was disappointing due to lack of flavor.   my fiancé on the other hand, really enjoyed his steak meal. he loved his.    dessert, an almond apple tartlet was good as well. i wish it was warmer, but the crumble on top was great. the ice cream was creamy!   overall it was a great experience, i think i just picked the wrong dish so i am definitely interested in coming back, trying something different, and dining to soothing live music.    soykarestaurant bar & lounge 5556 ne 4th

worth every penny!. went tosoykato catch up with two friends. in spite of the open, urban decor, the acoustics are great. no need to scream over other patrons or the background jazz music. the food was excellent, wine reasonably priced and service top notch. by 8:30 pm, every table was filled so i recommend making a reservation if you don't want to wait for a table.

it wasnt a cheap meal as we each spent over $65 but that included a starter, entree each, 2 bottles wine and a shared dessert.

i cant wait to go back. worth the price!

i have been tosoykain several occasions, i love its ambiance, i think that when i end up going there is usually only because of their industrial urban-ish decor. i don’t care that much for their food and the last time i brought my parents here, the food

gorgonzola fries and gnocchi - so delicious. i have been tosoykaa number of times, and i keep coming back. the alleyway, if that's what it's called, on the north side of the restaurant provides a nice private dining experience, but you can also eat at the bar and in the main dining area. during my most recent experience my friend's 5 year-old girl spilled her sprite all over the floor and her jacket. the waiter not only cleaned up the spill, but carefully cleaned her jacket for her. with good customer service like this, and delicious gnocchi, who could resist?

great restaurant in the design district. after reading all the reviews aboutsoykawe were a littlle wary about visiting this restaurant...but were pleasantly surprised. the crowd is varied from people in their twenties upto sixties. the decor is industrial and looks alright. there was music in the background, but not too loud and we could carry out a conversation. there were plasma screen tvs at the bar showing a football game but were not loud or obtrusive in any manner. this is not a sports bar by any means. the service was very good. the best part was the food. everything we ordered including the tuna tartare, skirted steak, pasta bolognese all the way to desert...brownie ala mode, were excellent. price wise was reasonable pretty much throughout the menu. parking is by free valet and secure. i recommend this restaurant highly. the brunch menu looks good too!

stuck up, pretentious, snobbish.. the one and only time visitingsoykaleft me with a very bad taste in my mouth. after sitting down for dinner on a very slow night i was excited to see what made this restaurant such a hot spot. i orderd a salad, and one of their burgers. while eating the salad i managed to bite into something that was clearly not supposed to be in the salad. i discovered that it was a foil lid from something which i had no idea. after asking the waiter about what on earth i had just eaten he proceded to tell me that he would have to ask the manager. 15 minutes later the manager finally shows up and says "is there somehting wrong with your food?". i explained the situation and asked what it was that i had bit into. the manager then rudly told me that he did not know and that he would have to go and find out. well 15 minutes later he returns and explains that it was the lid for a food jar. normally i would have excused the situation had it been handled correctly but the entire staff that night seemed perfectly content on not attending to the needs of their customers. this is one restaurant that i will never return to.
