if my boyfriend and i are within thirty minutes of the place we will go...it's absolutely the best. we recommend the bistec (his favorite) and the pollo (mine) both are bursting with flavor from the chicken melted with cheese on a roll, with spinach and warm tomatoes all with plenty of there puerto rican hot sauce to make the sandwhich somewhat of a spicy dip.fried plaintains make the. perfect accent to this already filling meal. not to mention they make it twice as convenient with a second restaurant down the street for "to go" meals only. you can sit outside also if u prefer. sol food is a true authentic puerto rican dining experience and an absolutely delicious one at that!! :)

where marin's sol's at!. when in marin, enjoy some real latin flare and comida muy buena here! the tostones alone are worth the trip to san rafael. and if that doesn't sound good enough, all the other menu items will leave your mouth very, very, wet. and don't forget to save some room for tembleque (coconut pudding)!

the scenery outside is simply gorgeous, but so is the food inside at sol food.

sol is so so good. last week i took some visiting family in at 3:00, a time when 95% of restaurants are empty, and sol was rockin'. doesn't matter what time of day you go, there are people there and that should tell you all you need to know.
