average. food was ok. i had filet oscar the bernaise sauce was so thin could barely taste it. i ordered filet medium and when they brought it it was almost burnt on outside and bloody on the inside. my daughters short ribs were good flavor sorta fatty. creme brûlée trio was good. service was slow. probably won't go back because at those prices expect to have a better experience.

houston restaurant week. i went here for houston restaurant week last year with a group of friends in 2013. i had the filet mignon which was cooked to medium perfectly. tasted like butter, melt in your mouth which is the best filet mignon i had ever tasted. my girlfriend also ordered the filet mignon. she order the filet mignon to be cooked medium well, but it turned out to be well done. though she didn't want to return the steak to the kitchen. also we both enjoyed the truffle mac and cheese, it was a cheesy and had a unique taste.

i used to not like this steakhouse but over the last year that i have eaten there, the food quality has increased. the filet oscar was very moist and melted in your mouth! i will keep going back from now on; they are back on my steakhouse list!

dreadful! yeah, sounds great, looks great. steaks looked good, but the rest of it was no better than golden corral. in addition, they'd run out of our first two wine choices. the manager suggested a third. it was awful. this place is all mouth and no trousers, and expensive at that.

we started the dinner with a few appetizers.  the beef carpaccio served on a himalayan salt block is delicious usda prime thinly sliced sirloin.  our only issue is that the beef is sliced too thick, so the portion seemed a bit small. next we moved on to the crab cake served with cognac mustard & ginger sauces.  this is a wonderful example of a crab cake, with lots of crab and little filler.  the flavors are great and left us wanting more. we both ordered charbroiled filet mignons ~ pam got the 10oz and jeff jumped in for the 14oz.  while pam ordered hers medium rare, jeff went a bit more aggressive and ordered it rare.  both steaks arrived perfectly cooked and were delicious.  along with the steaks, we ordered butternut squash with spinach & bleu cheese fondue.  it was perfect and the blue cheese is a great addition to this dish.  we also got the standard roasted wild mushrooms, something we can’t pass up. smith and wollensky is a good choice f

not the best, but good overall. prices aren't ridiculous. they are the same as any other premium steakhouse. my steak was very good, but i did not care for the sides. mac and cheese was dry. had a great time and the atmosphere is cool. i'd compare to del friscos in fw, never been to the df here.

pricey but worth it. great steaks, great service, ridiculous prices. nice for special occasions though.

very good. we went with another couple for restaurant week. my fillet was cooked perfectly and everyone loved the truffled mac and cheese. definitely a bit on the pricey side, but superior quality food.

horrible service during lunch. i had a horrible experience on aug. 30. the hostess was not at her station, so we seated ourselves after the bartender told us where lunch was served. after 8 minutes or so our server came by and apologized. i ordered coffee. it arrived, but they never came back to refill my cup. really?
the food was ok, nothing special. it took about 30 minutes to arrive. the server had a friend eating at a table adjacent to our table. she spent most of her time chatting over there, and never came back to check on us. maybe we wanted dessert. they sure didn't ask... at the end, she apologized for the horrible service again. very disappointed indeed.

worst dinner ever. went there with the family for a holiday meal. it was a total disaster. waiter was nowhere to be found. took 45 minutes for appetizers to arrive. soup was room temperature. i had ordered a filet medium and was told they cook them on the rare side. it arrived way past well done...dry as in not a drop of juice and room temperature. the bernaise sauce had been sitting so long, it had a skin on top and was also room temperature. the family had turkey and the gravy had started to congeal, like it does after it sits for over an hour. we actually left with the entrees sitting there. the couple sitting next to us had the same problem..no service. they had to stop a busboy to ask for menus and drinks. his reply was "what do you want?"

the room had maybe 20 tables with diners sitting at them. every time i'd look up, i never saw more then two waitstaff, and usually only one...for the whole room.

i can't believe smith and wollensky lets this place operate like that. i guess you take your chances going to a corporate chain like that.

had a fantastic chocolate dessert. more than enough for two in every serving. our group had a great time and were treated very well.
