let me start off by saying that sheikh mohammed regularly visits this place, but going there was no entirely because he did rather i wanted to experience emirati food away from home. you are welcomed by the hosts as soon as you walk in and find you a preferred table.
we ordered many starters and i tried them all: hummus, fattouch, tabouleh, chicken mousakhan rolls, tasting of eggplant mutable, vine leaves, meat kebbeh, cheese rolls and vegetable samosa. every single dish was brilliant and i cannot stress how good they were. without exaggerating, these are the best i've had.
as for the main course, we just had emirati mixed grill because it was late at night and we wanted light dishes, hence why we focused on starters. the beef tikka is the best i have ever had - it's juicy, perfectly cooked, and taste-wise is simply great, and it melts in your mouth. the shish taouk could probably benefit from being cooked a little less because it was slightly overcooked, but it still tasted amazing. as for the lamb kofta, it was very good and the quality of the meat is high.
i ordered the cinnamon berry mojito and it needs some reworking because i can barely taste the cinnamon. i tried a sip from the non-alcohol green apple champagne and it's very refreshing and tastes good, but it is a small glass. unfortunately by the time we wanted to order desserts (a little past midnight), the waiter informed us the dessert chef left but he did not let us know beforehand if we wanted anything else before the kitchen closes. small hickup though and the rahash rolls slightly made up for it. service was superb from start to finish. very highly recommended restaurant for wonderful emirati food or simply for some mixed grill.
