sine irish pub and restaurant

food is great and most of the staff is awesome but when it turns into a night club and the security guys are there some of the staff think they are there to party with friends. the server at the next table was jumping around and spilled a full drink on a person in my party and the appology was half assed at best. and she continued how she was acting, it turned out to be the box "security girlfriends and he paid more attention to her than his job while we were there. management was informed and just didn't seem to care how the staff acted and would stand behind the staff when they were wrong. i will never return because of management and a few staff.btw those who knew what services is were tipped well.( cook, original waiter and bartender and staff also said management didn't listen to them when good employees complained so i am sure anything on here will be met with the same effort. avoid this place after about 9.

sine's (shuh-naezz) is the best pub in richmond.....period.
the place is buzzing with people on most weekdays as well.
they serve a large variety of beers and cocktails.
i recommend their whiskey with rebbull upside down.

the staff is quick and warm.
especially with the chaotic crowd, their work is exceptional.

food is great too.

loved this venue, cool spot. only ate fried pickles and a small loaded potato soup. pickles were ok (cut long instead of short), soup was really top notch. had a double pina colada that came out great

sine serves guinness, which appears to be the extent of this bar's fresh food and authentic irish cuisine. the rest of the menu and its execution are best represented by the "irish nachos," where consistently undercooked potatoes are subbed for tortilla chips - between the canned green peppers and dollarstore cheese i would qualify this item, and the accompanying menu as disgusting if it were any less bland. i get the "it's bar food" excuse, but such slop ought not cost as much as something palatable. i have had more authentic and better tasting irish food on a plane to ireland.

disregarding the obnoxious atmosphere (its a bar!) the servers seem to be sympathetic to anyone who orders food, and they deserve the best tips to make more endurable the kind of crowd who are drawn to sine in spite of its menu.

i wanted to like this place, but after being dragged here too many times by groups of people with no where more creative to go, i am compelled to give sine the review it deserves and reveal it's dark secret: there is little to appreciate outside of its location.

please don't allow this place to persuade you that richmond restaraunts in general have given up. october 2017

great food, atmosphere and service!! had a little issue ordering and they handled it wonderfully! great reuben, vinegar chips, fries, pub salad, chicken wings and shepherds pie. of course all the deserts were amazing too. we will definitely be back. we sat on the patio and enjoyed great music and food. great management.

i love richmond.  the sights, the history, the food, but sine is unique.  it offers good deals on good food.  you can eat outside, where it is very pleasant.  the food is pretty good, i have had better, but given the cost, and if you just want a fairly quick stop, then this is your place.  the hosts were helpful, but there were some dirty parts to the restaurant.  it could take some more cleaning!  but it has a lot of potential.  i would go back, just because of the variety of good food.

their brunch just missed the flavor factor. no salt on the corned beef hash, the hollandaise tasted like mustard, and the serving size was laughable. i don't recommend their brunch at all. also, the place was disgustingly dirty. i get that it's a sunday morning and the bar was open till 2am, but come on. at least try mop the floors? the only reason they're getting a 2.0 and not a 0, is because their dinner menu is really very good.

one of the best places i've visited in my life. i had a chicken sandwich , the best one i've had so far. one complete breast covered in a blanket of cheese , melted cheese , tomatoes no lettuce. that's to die for. the staff is amazing and so friendly. would love to go back anytime.

dined with a group of 6 people here on a saturday around 10:30am. quick, nice service. dollar mimosas were great. i had the fish and chips, which was tasty but a bit overcooked. one of the other guest had the crab cake sandwich. she described it as a little too thin and not crabby enough. overall, i enjoyed the meal.

this place is a great bar with an overall excellent vibe. the food falls short though, the menu is great but the execution falls short. halfway through the dish you feel tired of it and they are big portions. the brunch specials are fantastic though, and with a big patio it is definitely worth a visit during the summer.

amazing food! the shepherds pie was everything but the queen with the fohawk could really tone down the side eye and attitude.

after hostess had the personality of dish towel, i was wondering how this would work out for dinner. service, other than hostess, who they must have dug up from local cemetery.... was great. reuben was one of the best i have ever eaten. fried pickles were great. we also ordered corn beef and cabbage which was outstanding. would go back.

nice place. i really like this restaurant, but i do have to say that their menu is becoming less and less impressive. i first had dinner here about 3 years ago. it was fantastic! lately, the food hasn't been that great so i stopped going as often.

they do have a great wait staff; always very friendly. the location is great too, especially for dining outside during the summer.

i wish they'd bring back the fried avocado appetizers they used to have....those were delicious!

just a great atmosphere at any time...the food was enjoyable pub fare and the soups are tasty!! at the end though, a great bar with good food and great atmosphere!!
