best pancakes in the ie. when your name is silver dollar pancake house, you better have the best pancakes around. thankfully, they do! you get generous portions of yummy food for a fair price. the silver dollar special for $7.99, which includes 2 eggs, 3 sausage links, 3 bacon strips, and 2 pancakes of your choice is more than i can usually eat.

warning: this place gets extremely busy on weekend mornings, so get there early to avoid the wait.

really great meal, a real staple of corona. we had no idea that this was the oldest restaurant in the town! this was our first time here and while we were overwhelmed by the wait they seated us really quickly. i got the iowa corn pancakes which were really good and filling, tasted a lot like corn bread. waitstaff was nice and friendly.

went for breakfast and the wait was not bad. we were going to sit at the counter and was waiting on someone to clean the two empty spot. we stood behind the seats hoping someone will notice. the waitress knew we were there because she made eye contact. nobody did clean it and another couple just jump in and took the spot. once they did, the same waitress clean the spot. not sure if this was the policy but if it is, nobody told us about it

breakfast was good and big. i had the 3 cheese omelet with 3 buckwheat pancakes. way too much food. the wife had the silver dollar special with potato pancakes. she said her pancake did not taste like potatoes.

these words have never been written anywhere before, but we came to the city of corona to escape the heat. yes, you read that correctly. my roommate is pretty frugal when it comes to paying for air conditioning, so with the heat wave we have been having in southern california, it has been uncomfortable to say the least. we were going to be up in corona one night, then back to yorba linda for my nieces birthday the next afternoon, so it just made sense to stay in a hotel and take advantage of their air conditioning. it also gave us a rare chance to try one of corona's favorites for breakfast, silver dollar pancake house. silver dollar pancake house has a real old time feel to it. of course the reason for that is because it is real old. this restaurant dates back to the 1920's. it has been a car hop restaurant, a mexican restaurant, a chinese place, and in the early 50's they became silver dollar pancake house. this eatery ha

best breakfast. my family and i have been having breakfast at silver dollar for several years. we have always been very pleased with the food and the service. my coffee cup is never empty and the food is great.
