siciliano's: a taste of italy

this is the best italian food ever! the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. can be crowded during peak hours but worth the wait!

mmmm.... hot fresh garlic rolls dripping in melted butter and minestrone soup. then there's the salad and entree, but who has room left for those? get a to-go box and take it home for lunch or dinner tomorrow. :)

d chandler. had a the e rehearsal dinner on aug 29 th . everyone had nothing but praise for the service the food and the set up of the room. when i called to get information everyone was so helpful. she took the time to answer all my questions. so recommend for anyone who's looking for a beautiful place to hold a dinner.

meh: stay away from the pizza.

the soup tastes canned. the sauces taste like it came out of package from a grocery store. the clams on the linguini and clam were actually canned clams. i'm not sure why many people think the food here is any good. i'm also not sure how the owners take pride in the slop they serve. real italian? i think not.

the marinara sauce tastes like cardboard, the soup was bland, and the owner laughed in our faces after we asked for compensation when the waitress dumped a massive full glass of coke onto our friend's lap. awful experience in every way.

great great great!!!. i wish that i did not live in amarillo!! we went for a romantic dinner upon visiting the area. i loved the rolls and the fettucine alfredo was the best i've ever had! i think i might have to inquire if i can order it and have it mailed to me!!

ordered the angel hair and meatballs. and expected a good amount of meatballs instead i got two little golf balls and a ton of pasta. sauce tasted canned and not very tasty. wife ordered the small pizza and it was undercooked. bar area really outdated. not a place to come watch a sporting event, that's for sure. the only thing that was good, besides our bartender, was the beer and frozen dessert. definately not a truly italian place i would come back to.

amazing bread rolls! loved the cheese ravioli.being a vegetarian i have very little options at many places and they are poor in taste too but this place has great taste! the service is good too! the desserts are great too! loved my tiramisu! also the ambience is nice! was seated in the booths and it gave a great feel! loved this place! would definately recommend this place to a friend!

good ingredients, poor cooking skill, worst service/management. mixed review on this place. i'm a huge ny pizza fan. siciliano's has very thin crust, home made sauce... pizza with potential. the problem is inspiration and attitude. i eat there the other day to try their pie again. the ingrediants were great, but the pizza was scorched burnt. by this, i mean the cheese was so brown/black that it was actually crispy (cheese crispier than the crust! lol). the ironic part is, i specificall requested "lightly cooked" in fear of this happening. i complained and the waiter waid he can re-do it, but it would be at the back of the queue and take abotu 25 minutes since it was busy (lunch time). then offered to discount the current burnt pizza instead, which for the sake of time, i accepted. at the end of the meal, the owner visited our tale. i thought that was a nice jesture. she asked how the food was, and i mentioned the pizza. she said next time, ask them to remake it. i explained that the waiter said it would have taken 25 minutes, and she replied, no, only 10 minutes because they would put it at the front of the queue. a little later, i got the check. no discount on the pizza. i asked the waiter, and he said the manager said no on the discount. this whole experience, fromt he missinformed waiter that could not execute on what he promised, nor knew the re-cook process, to the bad management, to the cook who ignored my "lightly cooked" request and totally scorched the pizza... i was with 2 business people, and didn't want to make more of a scene than i already did, so did not pursue it. as i was walking out, the waiter got me and appologized for everything, and gave me a slice of cheese cake to go, and said his management didn't know he did that and he would probablky get in trouble, but he felt bad so wanted to do something. the bottom line is i've never seen such cheap, non-focused on customer service, management at any restaurant i can recall. sometimes, a busy place can mess up food (like burn pizza), but to be that unwilling to make it right or honor what the waiter offered? really pisses me off in principle... not sure i want to go back to see if the burnt pizza was a one time mistake, or a regular thing...

really nice "romantic" atmosphere. food tastes really fresh and portions are very filling! love there garlic rolls!

great food. my wife and i have been eating at siciliano's for 17 years and it is great. the food is excellent, the prices are great and the palo and his family are the best.

great garlic bread. all you can eat soup and salad, is a hit and miss really it's soup and salad. soup can be spot on but days i have found it is either watered down or not hot, salad i always order dressing on the side or i get soup salad. and then for all you can eat it's hard to find your waitress for a refill. i have been going here since they were located on walnut and all i can figure is when they moved they left momma over at walnut and jacked up the prices to pay for the pretty building. i go for the food and service. the surroundings are nice but do not ever make up for the food and service.

abusive owners and bad food but good free garlic rolls so dine at the other taste of italy north on murphy rd
