this place is within walking distance of my house. we've been eatiing at taste of italy for 20+years. simply delicious! we watched impatiently as the current location began construction. we still eat there often. spaghetti/meatballs, salad, soup, rolls....those are my favorite.

my family and i have been to siciliano's several times, however my most recent visit was disappointing. the hot garlic rolls are still wonderful, but the minestrone soup and the triple pasta entrée were so bland they were almost tasteless! i'm gonna stick with valentino's in rowlett!

heavenly. some of the best italian food around. i live an hour away, but make the trip fairly regularly passing many italian restaurants along the way, including one that is 2 blocks from my house!

urban spoon brought them up for a choice when i was in town for business. i was completely surprised at how awesome their alfredo fettucine is. the rolls were like nothing i've ever had.

sandra may be disappointed with their reservation policy but we were pleased with our food! the garlic bread was a nice start to the meal~melt in your mouth goodness! the pizza, eggplant parm and seafood linguini were all delicious! fair prices, nice atmosphere, portions were fair as well.

very disappointed. had a family get together there. was never told of their policy of minimum of 50 and had to pay $10 for the difference of actual attendees and 50. what a shock! all they ever said was we had to pay for "empty chairs" which i thought meant no shows from the headcount i had given them. plus they over charged me on the difference. food was not hot, only 1 waitress for 34 people. some of the entrees were mispriced on the bill. if you plan a meeting there beware! make sure you know all the facts.

the best italian place in the area!! i take all of my friends visiting from out of town there. i suggest it to anyone for lunch or dinner.

great bread rolls. food was ok - but the previous posts were right - the bread is awsome! i ate 4 rolls and my husband must have eaten almost 10 of them! who needs dinner?yummy!

food is good.... we ate here and found that the main courses to be very good. the bread was bland and lacked the character we have come to expect from a good italian restaurant. also, the dinner salad could have been a little fresher.

a taste of italy is very clean and the service adequate but not personable. the menu needs to be redone, it fails to excite the diner. we saw two different couples walk into the restaurant look at the menu and then leave.

we hope that the management of this restaurant will revamp the menu and bring in more personable staff. the food gets three and a half stars out of five. the atmosphere gets two stars.

beware . . . the rolls are evil! before your food order even gets to the kitchen you'll be full! thank god the food smells and tastes so good otherwise i wouldn't even know how good the actual food is! love this place! definately going back . . . soon!

old school. that's all i could think of while we enjoyed our meal at siciliano's. their pedigree is from the classic italian restaurants that used to be throughout the detroit area (and a few remain). about the only nod to modernity that i could see, were

good food, a little slow service as they are usually very busy. the food is well worth the wait. excellwnt soup.... and garlic rolls are to die for.
