went for an evening set menu, absolutely loved the food quality , serving size and most of all the open air seating. the service staff was extremely cordial and we also got a chance to chat up with the chef for feedback on the menu. this is a hidden gem , with fantastic value for money in a fine dining setup

loved the thali and the service! ajinkya took good care of us. had tried the set menu last week and was impressed as well! taj :)

we came for anniversary lunch and we had the buffet, food taste was too good and there hospitality is amazing as they set there standards high for hospitality, i came to taj dubai for the first time and i was impressed they maintain the standards of taj india .the staff was very good and humble and they meet our expectations.

we are quiet a regular at shamiana now..we as a family love this place to dine as the people are warm and helpful soecial mention of mr.vikas,mr. ashraf and mr.akash who always are kind enough to accomodate any personal preferences to food. a big thank you to the chef too for good food..overall a nice place to be at with good quality wines served too..true, taj hospitability

terrible is the only way to describe my parents' lunch experience. a veg thali was ordered - mediocre, discourteous service, cold food, and they had to wait over 20 minutes for basic items.
service was awful, attitude was awful, food was awful, and the overall experience was awful.

it was empty on a thursday night, yet the food and service was slow. absolutely tasteless except for the black dal, samosa chaat and mushroom kebabs. the naans were served cold to us the first time. so disappointed!

very slow and bad food. the table was booked for 10.30pm. when we started ordering was told the kitchen is closed

amazing place for family gathering. staff is excellent, polite best custimer service. we were servered by ajinkya. very polite and good customer service sence. excellent service by him. highly recommend for indian food and family gatherings.

110% for the taste and quality of food. so well prepared and the freshness of ingredients/vegetables, the just right mix/balance of spices and gravy... the presentation was also excellent...

however, for an indian restaurant the serving portions were just not imaginable... 1 panipuri as starter, 1 tikki and 1 seekh kabaab, 1 small bowl of vegetables etc. the paneer esp. was so well prepared that couldn't help requesting additional serving but in vain. the portions are literally so small that it's not even enough to suffice a 7 years kid's single serving, leave alone for 2 people.

so, the set menu is infact just a tester platter. and the amazing amazing taste makes it more dissatisfied experience as one can't get any more of their favourite items.

it's perfect for may be a non indian family for a great indian dinner culinary experience.
for an average indian like me, i would choose a la carte option or prefer going for the set menu when my tummy is already full..
