serious pie

affordable? "serious"?. serious doesn't always mean dull. when i hear that i think damn! that was phenomenal!

i guess i was expecting serious as in cheesy, and that perfectly flavored, simmered sauce. aka pizza? pizza to me is cheesy... also, someone said these small pies are affordable enough you can sample a few? can someone tell me why pizza has to be a monopoly? don't we have enough monopolies? the pies we ordered were $17. for dough lacking salt, some shaved cheese, oil, and two toppings. i've had better 7$ lunch specials, packed with flavors.

don't get me wrong, the service was fabulous, the host wants you to feel updated on where you're at in waiting, and the server was very sweet. but honestly, the baby greens were the best part. that vinaigrette is yum.

also, while waiting in the crazy wind, a tall portable heater or two really wouldn't hurt considering the tiny foyer that is full at all times.

i've only been once and can't vouch for the appetizers or desserts but this is seriously great pizza. the crust is light and one pizza is enough for two to share except that you won't want to.

really great pizza. the crust is incredible. i loved the sweet basil sausage pizza. didn't dig the salads so much. pricey. they add 20% gratuity automatically. two pizzas and two salads was $75.

went for their grand opening. even with the long line they were very fast.

if you've never been to a mod it's a little like subway where you pick your size pizza, sauce and toppings and scoot down the line telling them what you want. they also have a choice of several pre-selected topping pizzas, i always just choose my own toppings.

you can add as many toppings as you want for no added cost!

they also have 2 beers on tap and wine to choose from.

this location looks like they will have outdoor seating in the summer, and also has a decent amount of seating inside.

really good pizza and cool atmosphere! the sausage and fennel pizza and kombucharita (you guessed it...margarita with kombucha) were both amazing!

my only complaint is that they close early(10pm). considering the cool and hip atmosphere; i would expect it to be open until 11pm or midnight.

four of us went for dinner and each couple shared a salad to start. our server was outstanding, friendly helpful, fun and engaging. salads were fresh and tasty. each person ordered their own individual pizza and all were happy with the results. pizza dough was good but not overwhelming and toppings were all fresh and flavorful.

diner for four with beer, sharing salads and indivuals pizzas was $200.

overall very good upscale pizza with good service.

my somewhat picky and meat-eating son and his vegan-ish mom both had a wonderful dinner. there is not a vegan pizza on the menu, but i just had to say the word and the staff was happy to accommodate. it is a bit pricey. two pizzas, two glasses of wine, one diet coke was $85. they add an automatic 20% gratuity, but made a point to let us know before we ordered so no complaint there.

went for dinner after work as it was recommended by lonely planet. the service was nice, and the wine was good paired with the pizza. lots of options and nice for a night out in belltown.

heard a lot about this place before going there. serious pie is known for its selection of wines and pizzas.

i didn't try any of the wines but the pizzas were excellent. we ordered the vegetarian corn pizza and the chicken pizza both were cooked to perfection with a slightly crispy crust and wonderful melted cheese.

we had a late night meal here on our first night in seattle, and it did not disappoint. even though we came in just an hour prior to closing at 11 on a busy friday night, the staff was efficient but friendly, and had helpful recommendations for their menu. the montepulciano was delicious and smooth paired with the buffalo mozzarella pizza. my husband had the sausage pizza, which he also said was outstanding. we shared the blueberry crumble for dessert and left so stuffed and satisfied we practically had to roll out the door. my only complaint was that our bill was a little steep at $100 for two small pizzas, two drinks and dessert, but this is gourmet pizza so you do get good quality for the price.

stopped by during happy hour. all pizzas were $6 half size. our family of four tried a different one each. they were deliciously simple and the perfect amount for us. the place is cute, rustic casual and a cool place to go near the market.

good pizza, needs more options and definitely not authentic napolitano pizza. expensive for what you get. i'm from vancouver bc and we have some spectacular pizza, unfortunately serious pie doesn't compare....

the service was great! we had a wonderful table by the window. those are the best compliments i can give. the charcuterie plate was disconnected parts with nothing worth taking a second bite. our eggs where terribly undercooked on our pizza the crust was over cooked and overall the pizza was under seasoned.

while we were in seattle, we dined at 3 tom douglas restaurants. the first one we went to was serious pie. there are 3 locations: virginia, westlake, and pike. we went to the virginia location. they don't take reservations but happily, on a monday around 6 pm, we were seated after only a 5-10 minute wait. for beverages, i had a glass of chardonnay, sp had iced tea.
