different in a good way.. came here on a friday night around 8pm and found the place fairly slow going. i was going to do the $19 all you can eat korean bbq deal but you must have 2 people minimum to do that. oh well, i went for plan b which was to ask the owner what a rookie to korean food should get. she said if i likedporkor chicken then those such entree's were safe bets to start with. i picked the marinated slicedporkin hot and spicy sauce. it comes with the classic korean side plates as well. the sides come out first which was like 6-7 small dishes from black beans to rice and spiced apples and kimichee. all very good and worth trying out.
the marinatedporkcomes out on a hot sizzling plate and looked as good as it tasted. its a got a nice kick to it yet but not so much a real heat and i was glad because my nose was running as it was. its more of a sweet spice then a hot spice as i found it. very good indeed.
the service is fast and quick, the staff and friendly and kind to new comers. the prices are right for what you get. the experience is much different then typical american places we see most of the time. good to see an an ethnic establishment showing such tradition and quality here in kitsap!
