even if the hotel is a bit old, it never deceives and always tries to improve. well done to put such effort.
food is good. there is a wide range of salads and desserts choice. hot dishes are few though. staff isfriendlyand nice. view is great.

breakfast selection was superb! i love their fresh juices. wide variety of breakfast items like bacon, sausages, hungarian beef patty, etc. staff are veryfriendlyand service was great!

we came here for iftar buffet during ramadan and couldn't have picked a better place! selections has the perfect name because they sure had a great selection of food there! the food was very good and service was just as good. selections is in the entertainer and staff here are veryfriendlyand helpful. we will definitely be visiting for another buffet!

had breakfast not this restaurant for about 7 months (not consecutively) and not one time did it disappoint. even though the decor is bland and the restaurant feels like it has no personality, the food never disappointed.
the juice bar is the best idea you could have at a restaurant like it.
their freshly squeezed juices are the best morning booster.
the staff isfriendlyand the variety of breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning.

i am surprised that sections does not have much reviews. i visited selections yesterday for iftar/dinner buffet. the hotel definitely is very grand and the restaurant reception was very warm and welcoming too. it was quite crowded when we reached there but managed to get a nice seat with an amazing view of the etihad towers and emirates palace. the spread was impressive, they had a very wide selection of salad. they had a sushi counter with cold seafood bar. they had a variety of mixed grills and mediterranean dishes. they had good options for their mains grilled hammour, lamb , pasta etc and was tasty too. they had water , soft drinks , iftar drinks and tea coffee everything included in the buffet package. their desert bar was impressive with a wide variety of options they. i absolutely loved it!
the price was reasonable and even better since we used our entertainer voucher. i feel it's a real good buffet to go for with good food, drinks and ambience. it is also good for companies looking for corporate rates for iftar or dinner buffets.
their staff were very attentive, we were lucky to be served by mr.sateesh who was veryfriendlyand attended us with a smile everytime.

wow, that is all what we can say. did you ever have the chance to check in, enjoy dinner in one of their restaurants or party at the yacht club? over the last 4 years we tried every single point listed earlier, and every time we went back we were more astonished about the great service we experienced.

this time however, azl, thefriendlybanquettes staff on the executive floor blew away our mind. we held a two days training workshop for about 15 people at the intercontinental hotel which started at 8 am and ended by 3 pm every day. azl was the first person to welcome us and the last person to wish us a farewell. not because it was his duty, but because he wanted to.

he gave us a detailed introduction about the hotel, the facilities, the fire and safety exists and the pre - arranged coffee breaks, asked if he could assist with the set up for the day and prepared a nice cup of cappuccino for us. that is normal you would think? yes, we agree, but not unfortunetely not very common these days when you book meeting rooms around town. he looked after us like a nanny looks after her protégés and read off every wish from our eyes.

the facilities where elegant and clean, the meeting rooms were super spacious and the snacks served during the coffee breaks were delicious. all in all a great place to hold a workshop at and a banquet team offering comfort, style and ambiance at the same time.

ps: the atmosphere and food at selections is a dream come true too, but it was about time to mention the real hospitality champions like azl in a rather unconventional way! :)
