this is a great seafood restaurant, and the prices are very reasonable for the area. we went on a saturday night at about 6:30 and there was only a five minute wait for indoor seating. we were seated outside without any wait at all.
i had the ahi poke for an appetizer and the quality of the ahi was fantastic. for dinner i had the macadamia nut crusted sea bass. it was perfectly cooked and the nuts added a verynicetexture and flavor. i had the scallops rockefeller and that was probably my least favorite dish of the night. still good, but i found the scallops to be thin, like they had taken a normal sea scallop and sliced it into 3 pieces. the flavor was fine, and the sauce was good.
and because no one with me can ever finish a meal, i also tried the sautéed alaskan halibut. this order got messed up and was originally delivered as salmon, not sure how the server misheard that, but they took the salmon back without fuss and brought us the halibut about a half hour later. i felt bad watching our server torment himself every time he came to the table to check on us while the rest of the party had dishes cleared away, and the halibut still wasn't there. i was happy, i much prefer they cook it correctly than rush it out and serve a poorly prepared, rushed dish. when it arrived the portion was great, the sides and sauce were delicious, the halibut was just slightly dry. fortunately with the sauce, it added moisture to the fish to make up for the few minutes they over cooked it.
for drinks i had the blood orange margarita with my meal. it was a solid, flavorful, strong concoction. while waiting for the halibut, i tried the raspberry mojito. now that was a tasty drink. real raspberry, and the mint gave it an amazing fresh quality.
i would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant seafood meal, and a good drink.
