sandfiddler cafe

not worth the hoopla. i have been to sandfiddler on a few occasions due to the high reviews, but those obviously come from the regulars!! i felt this place was nothing special, way too costly for undercooked eggs and burnt bacon. tried a couple of their "homemade" desserts as suggested and they obviously have been there a long time and tasted like the fridge!! overall this place stinks, don't waste your time or money coming out there. stick with the broken egg or citrus, so much better!!!

a loyal patron!. this has got to be the premier spot for breakfast in the oceanview area, not to mention lunch , if you haven't been to sandfiddler cafe, then you just haven't tried the best, their eggs benedict is one of my favorites, and the service is unrivaled, everyone who works there is deicated to making your breakfast or lunch experience there one to remember and one that will bring you back time and again as it has done wit me and my family , paula,steff,&steven have done a wonderful job of creating an atmosphere that is conducive to a very enjoyable meal wheather it be breakfast or lunch, try it you will like it i promise.

john. i have been eating there since they opened the doors in 2006, paula & steff are special people, they care about their community and the kind of service that they give to each and every customer, the food is fabulous the service is unrivalled and the staff is the best ,always smiling and so helpful, if you leave there not stuffed , it's your fault! their eggs benidict is in my openion the best around,bar none. this is the place to eat breakfast & lunch in oceanview, you won't be disapointed, i guarentee it,!.

outstanding!. great service, friendly folks and one of the best breakfasts in tidewater. i wish i went more often! trey it once and you will be hooked!

crab eggs benedict? if that doesn't draw you for brunch, then i don't know what will. watch out for the bagel sandwiches though. it was too chewy to be really any good.

nice little restaurant for breakfast or dinner. i order the french toast and it was great, the hash browns seemed very fresh and the staff was friendly. we went during lunch on a saturday and it wasn't to terribly crowded. overall a nice place i would eat at again

excellent place. exceptional breakfast time after time. i dont know why its so hard to find good restaurants, but it is. this is one! try it!

my husband and i have been here twice, once for lunch during the week and once on a sunday for breakfast. we had the same server both times... she was... lousy. i feel bad, but she didn't even check on us. i always hate having to ask for drink refills, especially coffee and we had to wait till she brought our food. overall it could have been better food and much better service.

ocean kitsch and shining food. the restaurant's name calls to the sea faring tourist, wanting all things ocean related. however, the food is what shines on these waters. my brilliant yellow crab filled omelette was cooked to perfection and such a sunny omellette speaks to the brightness of this restaurant. in my humble opinion, a perfectly cooked omelette rivals foie gras in its superb technique. my sides were the common fresh fruit and pancakes; that is right, a side of equally wonderful pancakes. such value and charm can be found in this place where the quintessential green vinyl booths of any true american breakfast spot meets the stain glass crabs and dolphins of the american sea side. novel enough to fulfill the tourist and a well balanced, extraordinary "bang for you buck" for the locals, there is nothing to fiddle with about the perfection of the sandfiddler. veni, vidi, edi!

awesome breakfast. this is another place i visit at least once when i go home to norfolk. all of our friends like it. very friendly staff and awesome food. the only other place that can hold a candle to it is d'egg in downtown norfolk.

bang for your buck. very generous portions. outstanding food! atmosphere is friendly, and the staff is awesome!

best little breakfast/lunch in town. the first time i set foot in this place i noticed how clean and organized everything was. i was greeted by a cute and friendly girl named blair who was quick to bring me my coffee and water with a smile. i ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and cheddar cheese. my waitress recommended salsa on the inside and boy was she right. when my food came it was worth the wait...not that there was a wait at all. super fast service. not only did it look good it tasted delicious. i highly recommend this little place to anyone. and i do. great food, excellent service, awesome atmosphere. keep up the good work and best of luck!

better food at ihop. i cannot for the life of me figure out why this diner is rated so highly. i've literally had better food at ihop or a cafeteria. the food quality is so low. i wouldn't feed this food to my dog.

staff and food. i was turned on to sand fiddler cafe by my friend and i am so glad that he did. the staff are extremely friendly, beth, crystal, and stephanie are my girls and on top of their game. the food taste great and the portions are huge, the french toast is to die for, the hungary fishermen is extremely filling and the biscuits and gravy are so good it will make you want to slap your momma.
