good food at a low price.  the wait staff is friendly and attentive (amber, mary, and beth).  we go here several nights a week.  the bread is excellent and hand made!  we can't recommend this place enough!  it's wonderful that it's byob too because that helps to keep the cost down when eating out.  good food, friendly people, relaxing atmosphere!  (btw they also have excellent coffee!!!)

won't go back. we dined in for lunch. poor service by the waitress even with her having only two tables. before finishing up we put in a to go order of salad and lasagna. while waiting the waitress is up front complaining to the manager about having to fill salt and pepper shakers. so 35 minutes later i walk up to check on the to go. the ooohh so rude manager asks what name? i said there's not we dined in. he says what was it, so i tell him. low and behold there it was sitting ready to go for who knows how long. focus should be on serviceing customers at the time not complaining about having to fill salt and pepper shakers.

best in town. better than olive garden any ole' day of the week. i've never had anything on the menu i didn't like. but i love the antipasta salad.

i'll have my usual, please. sammy's is like a loyal friend to our family. the tortelini in pink sauce is the best!! i plug this small family business every chance i get. my mom-in-law turned me on to sammy's about 10 years ago, and i am so glad that even in this rough economy they seem to be going strong.

love sammy's. sammy's is great! my husband works south of houston and always says he wishes he had a sammy's we don't know or appreciate how lucky we are! you can byob with no cork or glass charge. haven't been back to o***g*** since we tried sammy's a couple yrs. ago. if you haven't tried sammy's you should!

what happened, sammy?. years ago, sammy's used to be my favorite place to eat. the food was always great and the service was incredible. i guess hard times have had a severe effect on this place. nowadays, the food is average. i used to get the spaghetti with meatballs because the meatballs were gigantic and a lot of fun to eat. it made the dish different than any other restaurant's spaghetti. now, the meatballs are no different from any other place. and the pre-meal bread turns harder and crustier every time i go (but it is free, so i can't complain). but the biggest change for me is the wait staff. none of them ever smile anymore. if it wasn't for the nice, quiet atmosphere, i'm not sure i'd ever return here.
