salsa limon

this little gem of a find for some great street tacos. my friend and i both had one each of the el captain tacos. a beef barbacola andspicypork. the tacos were made al la plancha and the staff was very helpful. i have to say that the staff did use glove while handling the food. great job guys.

$1.75 per taco? hell no. hmm ok well here it goes.

well last night was the first time ive had some salsa limon and im not that impressed but then again i'm mexican and i know a good taco and hemphill is the place to be for damn good taco's and this place is not that good and way over priced!!

i had two steak taco's and 1 barbacoa and i asked what was all placed into the taco's and they mentioned cabbage which i asked not to be used on my barbacoa taco but im not a fan of cabbage and im not sure why they would even put that on taco's and cabbage is to be used only on cabbage taco's with potatoes and lime.

waited 7mins for the food and and i was offered salsa and i asked for the hottest that they had to offer and wow i was put to the test and damn that stuff is killer. just a little toospicythan what i was expecting but it was damn good.

all i can really say is the fact that i clearly told the employee not to add cabbage but it was still used on my taco's and cabbage does not go well with barbacoa but the salsa more than made up for the sour taste.

the inexcusable mistake for the cabbage on my taco and the price of $18.79 for 5 tacos and 1 torta is crazy for a taco wagon in front of a hipster bar but you cant blame them for taking advantage of these tcu dorks that have no idea what a good taco is all about.

to be honest this place is over hyped and nothing to be happy about with prices like $1.75 per taco and $1.35 for a can soda is bs! not sure how this place is making sales.. oh yeah thats right they sucker in those rich tcu kids that have no problem spending that kind of cash for high priced taco's.

try the tongue. seriously, its the best thing on the menu. i'll have a tongue burrito please with thespicysauce. if it ain't spicy, it ain't right! enjoy!
