had a lovely meal with friends .greatseat by window. enjoyed three courses each. awesome staff and we'll spaced out courses. the sashimi plate was beautiful and fresh, followed by john dorie with a smooth parsnip puree. the dark chocolate dessert was to die for. fantastic food and ambiance

salmon starter is too salty, but others are so great! fresh and delicious calamari, juicy and tender lamb main course, rich and creamy brûlée...greatenvironment! definitely will come again!

food was amazing! and beautifully presented!! our waiter was great, checked on us enough to make us feel like we were attended to but didn’t get in our face. he had agreatsense of humour and joked around with us as well as answering our questions and makinggreatsuggestions! loved it!

i received a voucher from here for my birthday, so decided to go with a friend and get the 6 course degustation (i am obsessed with degustation by the way).
this was actuallygreatvalue i think, look it’s not as experimental as other restaurants, these dishes were your “classics” but every single one tasted delicious, the service wasgreatand our table / positioning in the restaurant was just amazing.
so i think this place definitely deserves a 5.
would be a fantastic venue for a family celebration!

got grabone deal of $75 for 6 courses signiture menu, went for lunch during long weekend. overall it was an enjoyable experience. however there are few things to take points off.

menu starts off with two cold light dishes through to the 2nd main which is steak with mushroom sauce and potato pavement. this main is kind of on the greasy side already given the sauce and side paired. however it is followed with creme brulee, which tastes like loads of dairy!!!

both my steak and fish fillet are bit chewy but my husband's servings were done perfectly and he loved them. their ceviche pieces are cut into long strips instead of little cubes and tasted relatively sweeter than i expected.

as to the venison tataki i enjoyed this one the most. it has got cocoa soil drizzled with truffle oil, the aroma of both intertwined when you take each bite of the dish.

the premises is located at west haven withgreatview overlooks harbour bridge. however the decor is kinda of outdated and service is friendly but not that tantative compared to some other fine dining ish places we had been to.

setting is sensational as ever a beautiful day looking out at the marina . my partner and i had the soft shell crab , nice but a little short of taste , the prawn laksa which was reallygreatfull of flavour . then the snapper special which was nicely done with a mixture of sides to go with it. service wise it was pretty good but the constant trying to upsell things did get to be a little much , we really do know when we are full .

second time coming here for dinner. have yet to let me down. staff is friendly. it was a quiet evening. the champagne was delicious and not as dry as what the waiter thinks. overall agreatnight out with good food, nice staffs and relaxing ambience.

just a wonderful restaurant,greatservice, atmosphere and food. the oysters in japanese style to die for. thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. i really appreciate paying for good service and quality when it delivers.

sails had had a makeover, so we decided to go and see.

overlooking the marina in the setting sun, we were treated to canapes and drinks by the bar area.

befitting its sea related name, there were all sorts of fresh seafoods, and

other raw treats on offer.

this would be agreatplace for a sophisticated function, such as a wedding reception.

we went to sails for pre-christmas dinner on a wednesday night. it's a very classic, reserved place with stunning views to the ocean, a nice atmosphere and a romantic environment.

the services on this place are world class with very friendly and well-trained people. 

to start, we had sea scallops and king prawns with chili sauce. the prawns were very crunchy, firm, crisp and with a pleasant texture. the scallops were very fresh, shaped and very well cooked. to follow we had john dory with parsnip puree, broccolini, pea shoot salad, quinoa and lemon gel, saveur duck breast with sweet potato, plum, cavolo nero, radicchio and a side of potato dauphinoise. the mains were divine, perfectly cooked, tasteful and very well presented. to finish, we had warmed chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and coffee, little treats (macaroon, creme brulee, milk chocolate, passion fruits tart) and pavlova passion fruit curd, cream. all desserts were also very well done, light with a good presentation and an amazing flavor. 

we absolutely loved sails and we strongly recommend to anyone looking for a reserved and quiet place to havegreatmeals on a special occasion.

sails is a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic menu. we were treated to canapes from their kitchen and drinks as we overlooked the marina. it's the perfect place for a fancy evening out next to the water. 
the staff were so friendly with agreatsense of humour and they have some amazing decor to make you feel comfortable. the cocktails were fantastic! the bar staff asked me a few questions about what i like in a drink and then produced exactly what i wanted without ever knowing it! the ginger joe cocktail was incredible!
while sails obviously has a seafood theme, there are other options on the menu to delight everyone and offer a bit of variety. the menu is a bit pricey but it's definitely worth the extra pennies for the atmosphere and incredible cuisine.

celebrated my brother n laws 50th birthday there. his birthday wish was oysters and crayfish. well we came to the right place!
it was sail's opening night from just going thru renos and the ambiance was first class. friendly staff, breathtaking views and beautiful food. they don't have a children's menu but they did organize a special 'fish and chips' dish for them which was sorted when booking. crayfish orders where also sorted prior (one thing i'd recommend) as this is a $110 dish! overallgreatexperience. would have been even better if our two tables where somehow joined. go with a full wallet:)

it's always a bold move when you give somewhere 5 stars. is it really worth it or is it like one of those self rated 5 star motels? let me justify myself. i had taken my lovely wife to sails for the occasion of her birthday. she has new restaurant phobia because so many we have been to have been quite bad. let me tell you walking up the stairs and into sails at night is a very good first impression. the decor and ambiance is excellent the view of the harbour bridge directly in front of you is spectacular. the service is excellent. i found it to be the right level of attention and familiarity. assistance and explanation of the food and wine was very very good. i had the whitebait fritter starter that came with astrolabe sav. devine wine. my wife had the lobster coconut cream soup with shrimp and scallops which was really unbelievable. we both ticked the lobster main box and left with full tummies and very very good memories. an excellent dinning experience and agreatevening out. easy 5 stars. thank you to the owners and staff of sails.

went there with the family for the degustation menu a few weeks back and they were outstanding. all the courses weregreatbut the desserts blew our minds! the view, amazing food and excellent staff made for one truly memorable experience for us all. thank you sails!
