i’m a japanese food connoisseur and it was my first time to try saboten, it did not disappoint. i can truly say that their sesame dressing for the shredded cabbage was so good, we had to ask for a bottle refill because we couldn’t get over it. i ordered the shrimp and croquette set. the creamy crab croquette is to die for! it was seasoned well but it’s quite too creamy. the shrimp tempura was crispy enough though i have to say the shrimp inside was a bit gummy? maybe it was a bit overcooked.
tip: order saboten’s mojito! it’s amaziiiing!! it’s not too strong, but it hits the spot perfectly.
