my absolute favorite place in columbus or beyond. 5 star bbq

small room...huge flavor. the food is so good, it is a viable argument for having a second stomach surgecally emplanted,just so you can eat more! not to be missed and well worth going out of your way.

i have eaten here a number of times in the past. the food is good and the portions are sizeable. the serving staff are very nice.
the reason for the poor rating is the owner of the business has made tasteless comments about two police officers that were murdered in westerville ohio.
hopefully this owner will sell it to someone that cares about the community.

owner apparently hates cops and the citizens of where his business is located. google him. brad jalovec. will never eat here again. apparently he did not like they split screened the pebble beach golf to show live feed from the funeral for 2 officers that lost their lives. don't go here and support this guy.

best bbq i have had in ohio. i love the pulled pork, the variety of sauces, and the baked beans with several different types of beans. worth the drive!

best bbq in central ohio. the place doesn't seem like much but it sure smells great!! there is not one bad item on the menu. all the meat is smoked out back and the smell lures you in. the sides are homemade along with their sauces. you cannot beat this bbq and it is worth the drive.

update in johnstown, ohio. on saturday afternoon we returned to route 62. this time we shared the beef brisket with a side of coleslaw. i found a sauce that made my head prickle! this is on my list of favorite places. everyone is friendly and happy to have you stop for the best barbecue within a ten hour drive. love it!!!

a lot closer than little rock. in johnstown, ohio. i wanted to read the negative reviews first. there aren't any.
we considered ourselves blessed to get a table, after placing our order.
the pulled pork sandwich was great!!! the french fries were also great. there are so many sauces to choose from! i tried two. next time i will try two more. we tried the skillet corn which we enjoyed but will choose another side next time.
i am so happy to have a fun busy place to get great barbecue.

fabulous brisket. the drive out to route 62 was quick and completely worth it. if you're not closely looking for the small building they operate out of, you will miss it. there are only but a few tables in side as most order carry-out. the server helping us was super friendly and grateful for our business. both my husband and i ordered the brisket and it was delicious.

the meats at route 62 bbq are generally succulent and nicely smoked. my wife loves the pulled pork, while i dream about the smoked turkey. there are a variety of sauces ranging from sweet to spicy worth checking out as well.

great food and value! generous portions! i love eating there every time i'm in the columbus area.

pretty good bbq. had rt 62 at lunch for a business meeting. the beef brisket was very good with a great smoke flavor. sauce, baked beans and broccoli salad was also very good. so i decided to go out of my way on the way home and get it for dinner for my husband and i. the baby back ribs had good smoke flavor, but i so prefer spare ribs, like the ones at buzz and neds in richmond, va. we did not care for the macaroni salad at all. sorry, but they need to go back to the drawing board on that one. but, the skillet corn was freakin amazing!! would love the recipe for that one. i would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

wow, i really want to lie... ...and say that nobody should go here. i want to keep this one all to myself. since stagecoach bbq in ashville burned down a few years ago, i have been resigned to the fact that the only good bbq i can get in central ohio (or anywhere near it) would have to come from my own smoker.
thankfully, a co-worker revealed the secret of route 62 bbq to me. i was skeptical having been burned by many bad bbq recommendations. for example, "you should try xxxxxxx bbq, they are awesome, almost as good as hoggy's." that sound you heard, was my taste buds committing suicide. quick, someone get them some route 62!
there is literally nothing on their menu that is not incredible. i hate cooked greens with a violent wretch-inducing passion...except for here. i was convinced chicken wings should never be smoked, they end up with dried out meat and rubbery skin, but no smoke flavor...except for here. how good can $10 ribs possibly be...incredible here. anyone can make a decent pecan pie...until i had it here, now everybody else sucks.

i could go on and on, but instead i'll just go get some route 62 bbq before my taste buds stage a coup. you should stay away.

great food! great service!!. the food was sooo good! we came from cincinnati for a concert and before we left decided to check out route 62 bbq. we got the pulled pork sandwiches with 2 sides! the portion seems normal but once you dig in you realize there's a ton of food. the girl behind the counter is such a sweetheart and was very helpful. its a small place in a small town but very worth the drive to get there from where ever your coming from! you have to try this place out!!

great food, great value. you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. turkey and the beef are the best. with great variety of sides and daily specials make this bbq joint hard to pass up!

this place is phenomenal. when i ordered the brisket sandwich, i assumed i would get a bun with some brisket on it. wrong. i got a half pound container of brisket, with the bun on the side--easily enough for two sandwiches. it was smoked perfectly, something i had never experienced in ohio. i'll drive out of my way to get bbq here on a regular basis.
