romano's macaroni grill

great food took wife and kids for mothers day services was great enjoyed it.

during the covid-19 isolation, romano’s was a lifeline for our family. manager bobby and the staff prepared a perfect meal for our intimate family to share. the great service and delicious food gave us a glimmer of hope and perked up our spirits during this unusual and challenging time. we can’t them enough. go ahead and give it a try. it’s time to start smiling again!!!!

where to begin.....pretty neat place kinda confused about the long walkway to the hostess station where two pretty young ladies babbled to each other ignoring us untill we said hello.
we were quickly seated and found the tables and ambiance to be nice, untill we waited so long rachel went to ask the hostess for water.
another person came over and told us our waitress would be with us shortly, then finally we got our waters.
we skipped drinks already perturbed at the lack of wait staff attention and overall being ignored by staff.
so we ordered our appetizer and main courses.
our salads came and our waitress advised the app we ordered was out this evening "so you could order something else or not order one" we thought that was a weird thing to say.
james asked for a pitcher of water again dealing with lack of attention by staff, ms. waitress advised "i can get you another glass" james said make it a few. the waitress then left talking out the side if her mouth she couldn't bring us a pitcher because they were limited and other people needed to use them.
weird, so as we sat swatting away fruit flies, which we couldnt figure out where they came from, our dinner was brought before we finished our salad. glad we didnt order an app.
rachel ordered chicken scallipenne, the dish came without capers....no clue what was going on there.
things went weird the rest of our visit, waitress kept topping off out 6 glasses of water...and had no clue about waitstaff edicut, she took james plate but not rachels...then left to hover nearby untill we both stared at her so we could get our check and leave.
the review wasnt the lowest because the waitress brought us the missing capers and the food tasted great.
other than that it is a never again place.

my food did not come out as what i expected, even my lemonade didn't, yet i loved every bit and bite of it!!! our waitress lisa was a wonderful host and the atmosphere was great. food came quickly even though we are in the more formal non-express dining room. bathrooms were clean also. i'll defiantly be returning if i come through this area again and i will suggest it to all of my friends.

horrible food and overpriced!

of all the casual dining chains, i like this one because they at least try to be italian.

pork shank for dinner tonight: 1-pound of perfectly braised pork with veggies. yum!

service was exceptional this evening.

i have always loved macaroni grill, but their carbonara really sucked :( everything else was good though. the sole was awesome, great orzo.

why so stingy with the mushroom soup. they know it is everyone's favorite yet they parcel it out like they're hiding it. i went in or called twice in the past week and both times they had clam chowder as the soup. seriously? clam chowder at a macaroni grill? listen, making me hunt and peck and search for the mushroom soup isn't getting me in any more often, its getting me in less. you just need to put it on the menu full time.

service was excellent. calamari wasnt great. the complementary bread is pretty good. wish they paid more attention to basic seasoning, food was lacking salt, arugula side only had olive oil.

menu seems to have changed with economy. not nearly as good as it was.

service was horrible. this was my first time here and it all started as soon as we were seated. we sat there for a good 10-15 min without our waiter to come greet us and take our drink order. we had to get up and find someone to help us! the waiter came and didn't apologize that we waited, took our order and left. i unroll my silverware only to find stuck on food on my fork and knife!!! i get a replacement set and they're fine. a different waitress brought our food and spilled shredded cheese all over my table and just left it there. we sat there eating and not one person came to ask how the food was until we were done! and the part that pushed me over the edge; the person with me finds pieces of foil mixed in the noodles! i ask to speak to the manager stan i tell him about how horrible service has been and demanded he pick up our tab and we will never return again. he paid and we were out of there!

we got turned off by the blah not very italian menu
then when our waitress poured my wife a glass of wine, i asked how many ounces it was, when she stated 2 ounces for $5.50 we were out of there. for pete's sake it was house wine

blah. over priced. slow service. i did like that there were plenty of crayons and paper on hand to occupy my 2 year old. the crayons were needed, though, because it took forever to get our food. i had chicken marsala, three extremely thin chicken pieces, like a tender size. it was bland and was fatty. my favorite part was the bread they give you before your meal. if i want chain italian, i'd much prefer carrabba's.

no thanks. the portions are extremely small!!! i spent $70 with tip for a dinner with my girlfriend and i left hungry!! last time i ever went there.

i love macaroni grill...just not the one in lewisville. the bathroom was disgusting, they had a huge wait (with a bunch of open tables), & a very rude hostess. luckily our waiter was great!
