dropped in spur of the moment , was hesitant at first seeing the limited gluten free menu. but then our server renee put me totally at ease by double checking before i ordered the gf meat pizza. it was incredible one of the best gf meals i've ever had and renee was so attentive despite the place being swamped . i will definitely be going out of my way to eat there again.

we had appetizers and drinks. food and beet were excellent but service was spotty at best. our server seemed to walk past us over and over without noticing. we finally got our food and check when another server noticed us trying to get her attention.

food is ok. service was terrible. drinks went empty for awhile and then waitress dropped off bill without even asking if we needed anything else. i would have had another beer. disappointing will not be back and would not recommend it.

after reading reviews we were hesitant to go but tried it. i have to say everything was great, we had the artichoke dip cajun burger and the fajita, and all three were great. the beer was really good too. i would recommend it.

falls way short.. i arrived at around 9pm on a tuesday evening the host station was not "manned" and waited for a very long time before anyone paid any attention to me at all.

the restaurant is large and cafeteria like, my own preference is for a more cozy setting.

i ordered the “fish and chips” and they were very acceptable. however the beverage was very disappointing especially since rockyard markets itself as a beer enthusiasts emporium. i chose the redhawk ale and was presented a glass of freezing cold fizzy brown liquid that tasted slightly of toffee. i have grown accustomed to drinking the pasteurized, sterilized, filtered, and pressurized beer that appears to be so popular on this side of the atlantic and am judging it as such and not trying to compare it to real cask conditioned ale.

the overall experience fell well short of my expectations.

no thanks. i think this place must e busy because of its location. that's all it has going for it. i quickly ordered the special since the waitress seemed to be in a thousand hurries. i got my food within a minute. it was cold.. not just not hot.. cold. i also never got my side that i was required to order. i would have sent it ack but my waitress never came back. i ate my miserable cold meal, drank my beer which was the est part and sat for 20 minutes after all was empty before she showed up with my bill... "you don't want anything else do you?" after handing her cash, it was another 20 minutes for my change. i travel and eat out 40 weeks a year. i used to live in the area. this was miserable. i will not be back and will steer both locals and fellow travelers away.

not sure what is going on. it has been some months since we have been to ry and i am not sure what has happened. the service was incredibly slow when the place was almost empty. our waitress was incredibly rude and almost unresponsive. it took over an hour for us to receive our food when we had two small babies in our small group. i could expect this on a busy night, but when the place was empty?

great place. great beer, great food, great (spacious) atmosphere. the only knock i have on them is i wish they had more pale ales on tap.+

great place, even better location. went on vacation to colorado and stayed in castle rock. our hotel was a block away from this place so it was a no brainer to eat here. this kinda reminded me of a place back home called "the yardhouse" if you are traveling from denver to colorado springs, stop in castle rock and go to the rockyard for some good food and homemade beer. my beer of choice was the red hawk amber ale.

this is the only restaurant i've ever heard of or experienced that doesn't allow you to substitute sides, & will charge you the full price of the side if you do. that is the epitome of trash. and the service is bad, to boot.

rockyard the atmosphere here was nice. it's a bit loud, but it is a brewery. i ordered the chicken enchilada soup and the cajun chicken pasta. the soup was spicier than i expected, but very good. the cajun pasta was really nicely seasoned and tasted great. the portion was probably enough for two, but it was so good i ate the whole thing. the cajun spice was not too spicy so, i enjoyed it more than the soup. my co-worker ordered the grilled pork chops with creole seasoning. while he could not really taste the creole seasoning, he thought the pork chops were good. the dish was served with a gigantic pile of crispy fries that were good but too much, considering the portion of pork chops that were served. overall t gives it three yum yum's out of five.

family and i stopped in on our way to colorado springs. beer was good, food was average at best. the firebird chicken sandwich was a hit with my daughter. husband found his burger to be cooked perfectly. i had the "warm steak salad", which was not warm and i found to be a confusing mess of nationalities. my steak was mexican flavored, the dressing was asian inspired, and topped with onion straws and plain diced tomatoes and sesame seeds. service was average.
