had the breakfast buffet here when we stayed at the henry.

not a big spread but whatever was there was tasty. especially the baked macaroni, corned beef and chicken sausgae. the fried eggs made to order were fluffy and tasty

this place is very pleasant. the dining experience was a very good one, and the service was excellent. a must order is their salpicao. it's very tender, cooked perfectly - medium well - if you're a fan like me. the grilled salmon with garlic pasta was also good. actually, every dish we ordered tasted great. doesn't take too long to prepare, either, but then there was only 2 other customers when we were there, so i'll have to come back another time you see if that's really true. it's definitely one of my favorite places now though!

one of my all-time favorite restos in cebu. their salpicao, mushroom arugula pizza and caesar salad are the best! definitely will be back once i'm in the country!

it's a good place to dine and to chill. the ambiance is relaxing. i like the interior, very contemporary. the food is great. i ordered roti de porc and had a sumptuous dinner. the meat is tender and cured. the salad side dish compliments well. and yeah, i ordered extra cup of rice for that! and i tried their frozen italian soda. i'm curious what makes it italian and frozen. so, i had kiwi and it's absolutely good.  i'm still curious, though. maybe next time i'll figure it out. for dessert, you may check their dessert counter directly. i tried chocolate mouse and red velvet mini cakes. indulging, indeed.  given all these plus good service. i don't think those figures in the menu matters.

a weekend with the family is not complete without having to dine at any restaurants in the city. i scouted for some place where we have not dined out yet. my choice, and so it became theirs too, was rica's restaurant at the henry hotel in cebu city.

it's a nice and cozy place. i absolutely love its interiors -- very quirky, nicely designed, and homey. props to the staff! they are very accommodating and attentive to your needs. the food is delicious, they have a good selection. however, i do find the food a bit too pricey for its serving size.

tip: if you need a place to go on weekends for work or to read a book, this is a nice place to go.

got to try their breakfast buffet at php 435 per person, i think. they have tons of choices. i loved their waffles, their pork tocino (it was really good). ordinary king's bacon though. but i believe the price is over expensive to the dishes they were offering. what i love is that if you're staying at the henry, you could actually eat your buffet breakfast by the pool. how amazing is that?

i had the pleasure of trying out their food last weekend with friends. food was okay and the serving size is only good for one person. the price was not so shabby either but overall, it was a nice experience. i don't see myself going there again anytime soon.

rica's is located inside of the henry hotel. actually we found this little gem by accident when we were looking for a good restaurant around the area. one of the staff of spa at cebu told us, that there's a good restaurant inside the hotel.
the hotel looked unconventional or should i say spooky inside and outside. on the other hand rica's has a quirky restaurant layout and gloomy. however in spite of its quirkiness they served a good tasting dishes, which we both loved.
they served complimentary focacia bread with salsa dip, which is good complimentary starter. :-) hubby ordered salmon with pasta drizzled with pesto sauce (can't remember the exact name, sorry!). i had a tapsilog (cured angus beef, fried rice and sunny-side-up egg) . honestly, we never thought their food would taste that good. we were surprised when we had our first bite... seriously delicious! my tapa was well marinated and loaded with flavors. i must say, it was one of the best tapa i've tasted. my husband's salmon was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.

we left the place with a clean plate and happy. the price was fairly reasonable. definitely we will visit rica's again.
