red fish grill

i'll start off by saying the atmosphere was incredible. very quiet, pleasant setting with a great view of the bay. we ate outside and it was quite nice. my partner and i each had a glass of wine and went with the waitstaff's recommendations for appetizers and entree. the shrimp was pretty good, but the tuna tartare was just okay. we shared the shellfish stew (can't recall the name) which was pretty alright, but not worth the $58 listed on the menu before tax/tip. maybe we would have had better luck with the fish. we got the tres leches bread pudding for dessert which was very sweet but overall pretty good.

all in all, nothing was explicitly bad, just overpriced for the middling experience. probably a greatplaceto go if you live in the area, but far from my first choice when miami has so many better options that cost considerably less.

what an ambiance. went here with wife for wedding anniversary. pan fried red snapper, grilled black angus hanger steak & fried calamari appetizer. i'm not a foodie, but i would say food was as expected for the price range of $30 a plate. overall good even though nothing blow me away. wife said steak was somewhat more grease than would have been ideal. we are not wine drinkers. small beer selection worked for me. wife wasn't happy that no cocktails were served. service was good, very polite and neutral. a smile or a little personality from the staff wouldn't have hurt. all that being said we came here for the ambiance. and that really makes theplacestand out! the sunset, the breeze, the palms, and later the lights and the night sky! just awesome when you are used to a view at roads & parking lots for outdoor dinning even in this price category in atl!

matheson hammock park and beach is a specialplacein miami, a park with a tiny beach that looks like an enchanted lagoon, bicycle paths, picnic tables, a lake with a sign that says "do not feed the alligators"

good not great. but the ambiance and location bring thisplaceover the moon. i have been several times and my fav odly enough is the skirt steak. the fish, seafood and aps all taste very pedestrian to me, but the wines are fab and the view is breathtaking at sunset, it is a must see.
