such a great, quick lunch spot. i always get the salmon bowl with brown rice and it's been fresh every time. the perfect little joint to step away from your desk for a bit and have a little bowl that doesn't leave you bogged down and sleepy.

missing freshness. i eat here a few times per month. great korean food and fast! vegetables are marinated well. just doesn't ever come out hot enough which means the rice was cooked hours ago. the rice is also not the highest quality. if you want something fast and tasty, though, this hits the spot.

beautiful healthy things. every morning when i get off my bus i walk past red bowl and smell the essence of shitake mushrooms and wish they served their bowls for breakfast. the owner, or whomever the gentleman is that’s always taking orders at the register, is always super welcoming and efficient. i've enjoyed every meal from red bowl but was disappointed to get my spicy salmon bowl back to the office to find the whitest 'brown' rice i'd ever seen. guess i misread the menu board. other than rice issue, the only turn-off that has kept me from eating there more often are the styrofoam bowls which for me are a stark contradiction to the healthy stuff inside them. i wish the bamboo or other more eco-friendly containers where cost effective for them. eating beautiful, healthy things is always more enjoyable for me when eaten out of a beautiful healthy thing.
