just don't....really....

to say that theservicewas bad would be giving them too much credit. 40 minutes into waiting for our food and not seeing our waitress, i spoke to the hostess and let her know that we could no longer wait but would like to take our food to go. she said that she would speak to the kitchen people and get our food bagged up. a few more minutes go by and nothing. i asked her again how long it would take and she said that they had just placed the order? she said she would check and spoke with her "manager" about the situation. manager fantastic gave her some info i guess to deliver to us. she told us that we would not be able to have the half price sushi due to us carrying the food out of the building. no apologies, nothing in the way of a conversation or a discussion nothing. oh, forgot that when we asked to pay for the lemonade for my daughter and my beverage they said that was on them. that's a great way to make a customer feel appreciated, ignore them, treat them poorly, give them multiple stories and them reward them with a free lemonade!! oh thank you bowl of brown, you and your staff are the best! can't wait to come back!!

excellent. food andserviceequally impressive at a very reasonable price

i went with a large group from work on a friday night and theservicewas good. i ordered the pad thai based on other reviews and was dissatisfied. others from my group ordered sushi and they seemed to enjoy.

bad service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. my wife and i used to frequent this resturant alot, but after the past few times we have been there theservicewas horrible!!! the waiters are allways on their phones texting andthey all stand in a group by the bar area and tlk and laugh when we needed drink refills and uh our food. the waiter we had the last time was patrick and he actually rolled his eyes at my wife for asking a question. oh and one more thing we noticed was that the "half priced" sushi was the size of a dime when before it was normal size. don't know what is going on there ,but they don't have to worry about my family and friends returning!

best lunch deals around. no matter what time you go the food is always good and consistent. i prefer lunch over dinner because the lunch portions are so large that i usually leave with a to-go bag. the sushi is good but not the best in town. i can honestly say that i've at least tasted everything on the menu. the vegetables are always fresh and i've never had a bad meal here.
also, we've had two office lunches here with 15+ people and both times theservicewas great.

yet another enjoyable dining experience. i've tried this place six or seven times over the past few months and it keeps improving on both theserviceand the selections. they've added more items to the "happy hour' choices so that now there is is a long list of half priced specials, and every one we've tried has been excellent.

jennifer is about the best waitress in all of greenville. she's very efficient, knowledgable and affords exceptionalservicewith just the right amount of attention while not being obtrusive. i used to think that my favorite was the sapporo roll. but i've found that there are so many great offerings that it's hard to pick a favorite.

i'm still not certain why only 77% have given a "thumbs up" to this place. perhaps all the naysayers visited during red bowl's "new place" adjustment period. my only negative comment is that the owner is considering opening a satellite location in spartanburg instead of the i-85/pelham road area where it would be convenient to patronize more often! i highly recommend that you give this place a try!

confused by the mixed reviews. anyway, i liked it. i had been wanting to try this place since they opened just a few months ago. i finally found myself nearby on other errands and decided to drop in. luckily i did so during "happy hour" for the half-priced appetizers and sushi. not all selections are on the "half price" menu, but the offering was broad enough to suit my tastes. i enjoyed everything i tried very much.

i'm still not sure why several reviewers slammed it so badly. perhaps they had a some of the ususal "start up glitches?" i was satisfied sufficiently to plan a return visist.

delicious. the food was very good and i had a large party we were all impressed. greatservicei would recommend to anyone.

disappointing. the atmosphere is lovely, but not many interesting menu options other than the sushi bar. the "sea of love" specialty was supposed to include calamari, shrimp and scallops. i searched for even 1 calamari, and finding none, asked the server if the wrong dish had been prepared. the explanation given was that they had run out of calamari. no offer to fix something else, nothing... pretty poorserviceattitude.

bad visit at one of my favorite places. my husband and i visited on saturday night. we were immediately seated in a busy section. after a 15 minute wait, no one had come by to ask for our drink order nor our food order. two tables that were seated after us got immediate service. we decided to leave and go somewhere else. we stopped by the hostess station to let them know about the problem. the hostess didn't act concerned at all and didn't even acknowledge our compliant.

we love the food here but theservicehas been getting progressively worse over our last few visits. we have experienced slowserviceon our prior visits.
