randita's grill

great food. this truck gets it right! flavors are wonderful, vegan or not, you owe it to yourself to try this place. they strive to make sure what you're eating is good for your body, so no guilt. again, the taste is amazing. love the hot not sausage and african peanut stew. i may go vegan after eating here. also, they have a restaurant in saxonburg.

healthy mobile lunch. being a lifelong butlerite and foodie of sorts is not the perfect marriage. i usually pack my own lunch since it's healthier, cheaper and quite frankly better. but since randita's has been coming to town i don't pack on wednesdays. what's impressive is how butler has embraced their presence and supporter their vegan fare. it's not surprising i guess since randy and dale are delightful people serving excellent food. i urge people to get on their email list, like them on facebook and hunt them down.

delicious organic and vegetarian mobile food . . .. yesterday we visited randita's grill on washington's landing (they are a mobile food vendor that sets up on the island on tuesdays and thursdays, and we were kayaking on the allegheny river) and stopped for lunch.

first of all, i was impressed that all of their food is organic. second of all, everything is also vegetarian and healthy . . . and thirdly . . . everything was fresh, clean, and delicious!!!

we tried (and shared) both the veggie burger and the hummus wrap (uniquely paired with hummus, figs, crisp spinach, and colored tomatoes) for our lunch. yumm, yumm . . . both items were extremely good, and they were healthy too!

and the folks running the booth, randy and dale were very nice and personable.

i can't wait to try them again . . . maybe next time i'll try the taco wrap?
i'm gonna try and plan a bicycle trip along the north shore trail and head over to the island so we can come back here again.

wonderful!. this is a real gem, please give them a try. homemade, delicious, healthy, cruelty-free food - what more could one ask for? owners seemed very nice. will definitely return!
