puccini's pizza & pasta

i would go back!. i went here with a group of about 30 people for the first time, and was overall pleased. i had a calzone and it tasted really good. the only downside was that the restaurant only assigned one waitress to our group, so it took a while. my food was given to someone else so they had to remake mine, but that was the only hiccup in a group of 30, which is pretty good since the poor waitress was doing it all herself. anyway, i would go back - the food was good and there are so many varieties of pizza.

a great pie.. i have had pizza in ca. north south and in-between. i have had pizza in new mexico (there are three good pie places in nm -they all also make beer- two of them good beer) .
at puccini's the crust is better than average the topping choices are more than any other place i've been to.there are many cheeses to try also.in fact if you can't order a better custom pie from whats on the menu that's not some one else's fault. i usually go and pick it up as it is faster than delivery and i have german beer (real beer) at home. the music at the place can be obnoxious but the wait staff is ok. i like a shrimp, anchovy, light on the sun-dried tomato and banana pepper or a green olive red & yellow bell pepper and red onion. i ask for a well done bake (try that at conveyor belt hut).
the calzones are also good and 1 dinner salad will do for 2 healthy people to split.

the sad thing is, this is the best in town. puccini's pizza is the best in town, but before you run over there and try to make me eat my words, let me preface by saying, that the pizza in lafayette/west lafayette is horrible, beyond words, and i am terrified beyond all rational thought when someone suggests getting pizza within the general l/wl area. but i will say that so far puccini's is better than everything that i've tasted so far. i still drive to indy, to pick up 4 large jet's pizzas and freeze them for my enjoyment.

fast lunch service and good prices. calzones are excellent and many varieties. greek salad has tasty dressing. highly recommended.
