pop's deli

i just moved to memphis in oct 2015, and it was hard for me to find a place that has turkey, salads, healthy food places. i found pops and iloveit me and my co-worker eat there a lot, she was the one that introduced me to this wonderful place. sweetness jones

worth the wait. in response to genevievepugapoo. you are right due to popular demand pop's deli has moved to a bigger store, and with any move there is an adjustment period. if you do not want to have a wait on your order then the best thing to do, i find, is to call your order in ahead. the fact that pop's deli is as busy as they are is proof that their food is as good as it always has been. i was in there the other day and was greeted by a friendly staff and i did have to wait a little for my philly steak, but it was well worth the wait. this is a family owned restaurant that makes every sandwich fresh to order. i'll take the wait over a microwaved hamburger any day!

best food around. in the mist of all those bbq joints(don't get me wrong ilovebbq), but it is nice to have somethng different. and this place delivers. all the sandwiches are great..the burgers mouth watering and the service like no other. if you have not tried pop's deli yet what are you waiting for!!!

this is such a great little deli!lovethe gyro and homemade chips. not a ton of seating but the food is worth it.

locally owned, delicious. the food is great. i've had just about everything as this place is close to my office. i especiallylovepop and mama. they are always there! great product, local ownership, owners that care about their business and retaining customers. eat here! it's fab!

ilovethis little spot! my favorite is the philly cheesesteak along with the seasoned homemade chips.. it's very affordable and full of flavor! i would totally recommend this place!!

their philly steak is best i ever tasted. it is real ribeye,so much meat you can make another sandwich! my kidslovetheir burgers. try the gyros you won't be diappointed! pop's and ms.shirley are the nicest people on the planet!

very tasty and a nice family feel. ilovethis place. i was a little skeptical it'd be worth such a haul distance-wise but it really was worth it as a weekend foray and i'd definitely go back. the chilean is as awesome as jennifer biggs promised it'd be; it's the kind of sandwich you immediately want to go home and try to hack so you can make it yourself any time you want, only to realize the amount of effort (cracking the spice and marinade code for the green beans, which means planning ahead) and high quality ingredients (good proper deli roast beef, awesome ciabatta) might not make it any easier or much cheaper than just going and getting another one here. ilovethe mom and pop family business feel of the place too. and the fact they serve a hot dog very similar to my beloved and now discontinued ditka dog from jimmy's in bartlett--a nyc-style offering with sauerkraut, mmmm. lots of people, clearly regulars, were coming and going with pick up orders. if i was lucky enough to live right by pop's i'd be trouble too.

unbelievable!. this is definitely one of our favorite lunch spot in this part of the town. ilovethis chilean sandwich with green beans. my coworkers' favorites are philly cheese steak sandwich and swiss mushroom burger. if you like hot spicy food, make sure you ask for the boss lady (in white head scarf) for some of the home-made green chillie hot source. the brownie is big like a brick. 100% home made, delicious!
