i went for lunch on the weekend with my friend and loved every bit of it. there is a nice outside area with tables on the grass, and inside has floor to ceiling windows so you can look out onto the winery. there is also a sculptureparkwalk which is worth the $10 to go for a stroll before/after lunch. i ordered the snapper and it was cooked to perfection, i want to go back and order it again! we shared the corn and the potatoes as sides. the corn was amazing! it kind of tasted like it was marinaded in butter.

food: 4/5
service: 3.5/5
venue: 4.5/5

shared a 2 and 3 course meal ($75+$95) plus drinks.
food was very tasty, simple asian contemporary flavours executed well. we had the pasta fiore, hapuka ceviche, steak with curry butter, roast chicken, watermelon panna cotta and profiteroles.
simplicity of food (very similar to cantonese cooking with fusion elements) meant it felt a little bit overpriced given its equivalent to $37.5 entree and mains. dessert was really fresh and tasty but well executed.

service felt very slow for my liking, took 30min for drinks to come out and 2hrs for only 2 courses (second seating so maybe it's a more relaxed pace?) friendly staff, nothing to complain about but could be more efficient.

venue is stunning, you have the option to go outside and have a picnic or a long walk around the sculpturepark($10 entry during the day, was free for us in the late evening). would revisit during the day and spend an afternoon here.

visited the sculptureparkjust before the massive wind and rain change! due to the wait for wine testing decided to enjoy the pinot. sitting in the marquee was very relaxing. attentive service during a busy saturday.

we visited point leo estate yesterday for a celebration dinner and enjoyed the sculptureparkbeforehand. i kind of think they should wave the charge at the cellar door if you are paying to eat at the restaurant (or the entry to the sculpture) but for the $10 you pay to wine test you can spend a leisurely hour enjoying the art instead.

the staff were attentive (as you expect when there’s a hat involved, the other restaurant on the premises has two hats) and lauded for the apple bread as the whole foundation of the restaurant (which for two tiny pieces at $6 was not revolutionary).

our shared entree was the hand cut prawn pasta. my partner really enjoyed this but i thought the flavour profile had an overwhelmingly likeness to that of salty chicken stock. for our mains we had the lamb and the beef fillet accompanied by a side of parsley and caper potatoes.

the lamb dish was very insubstantial i thought but the beef fillet (clever ordering by me) was well presented and delicious albeit a little over seasoned. this worked well as our side dish lacked seasoning and i was able to utilise the other elements on my plate (mornington butter and spinach) to balance this. the duchess potato was really lovely.

for dessert we shared the vanilla panna cotta which was a quite a light way to finish. the vanilla wasn’t particularly pronounced but the texture was good and the raspberry sorbet with this was delectable. very pretty on the plate too

enjoyed an amazing lunch in red hill to end a weekend in mornington. the restaurant has lovely views of the sculptureparkand the sea in the distance. the menu has a great variety which i loved. our waitress was very accomodating and attentive. we ordered the oysters, cheese guyeres, beef tartare, prawn pasta, snapper and fries. everything was delicious but the standout was the prawn pasta. i believe the menu read prawn and ginger hand cut pasta. amazing flavour and textures. each bite was like my first bite. do yourself a favour and give it a try! we had a beautiful lunch but sadly, our perfect experience was ruined when the lady fixing our bill threw my change at me.

it was the coldest weekend all winter when we came to dine at point leo but lovely and toastie inside with an impressive view out to the sculptureparkto the white capped waves in the distance. our round table afforded everyone a view and we were soon enjoying a couple of bottles of wine, the 2017 pinot noir from the estate and a rose from elsewhere on the peninsular.

i have seen the menu online but this was different on both zomato and their own website that presented to us. for entree course i shared a couple of sydney oysters freshly shucked and served natural. we also tried the cheese gougères (cheese puffs) and the goat cheese tart with pickled beetroot and rhubarb. the tart was an exceptional dish, creative and unique.

main for me was always going to be a beef option and they had a substantial wagyu striploin with enoki mushrooms, onions and a absolutely divine veal jus. this dish was cooked just a tad over medium rear (imo) and there was a little sinew but was still very enjoyable flavour wise and i very really get beef at home let along wagyu so a real treat. others on the table got the tuna steak, cooked medium rear accompanied by macadamias. everyone was impressed by the texture of the whipped hollandaise that took up a quarter of the plate on the tempura rockling and the thick cut beef fillet had me experience fomo in terms of its appearance. it came with amazing duchess potato’s (mashed then baked).

service was friendly and impeccable and the celiac on our table was well and truely catered for except when it came to dessert where they unfortunately lacked a single gf option except for cheese where they had crackers that would have been right for her. as a table we had eaten quite enough already so decided we wouldn’t have dessert in the end.

overall an enjoyable winters lunch at a great venue in the always impressive mornington peninsula. there were plenty of ig types taking photos of themselves so i didn’t feel too out of place taking my food photos.

3.5⭐ . we arrived here on a perfect summer day - blue skies, amazing views, in a vineyard. yes! there were quite a few of us so we managed to try most things on the menu and a couple of the wines too. the venue is just stunning. highlights: starters/entrees = perfectly delicious. the wallaby pies were just wow. lowlights: the free entry into the sculptureparkis only for laura guests. considering how much we just spent on everything... i think i'll save myself that entrance fee.

we were warmly welcomed by christian on a busy weekday lunch. immediately captivated by the stunning views we were seated by a window table.the menu looked extremely inviting and immediately wanted to order everything off the menu, however, thankfully managed to exercise a bit of restraint.

we started off with ordering the housemade bread;, focaccia and apple sourdough which were both rather average. followed by a series of entrees and appetisers to share.

the fried mussels sandwich had potential to be great however fell short as was served with fried bread resulting in an excessively oily and rich texture and flavour. next we ordered the scallops which a few moments later were told became unavailable. wine service was spot on by thomas who was generous enough to open up the laura menu. we had an excellent vigonier : by farr and a chateau neuf de pape.

next on the menu was the highly instragrammed beetroot pancake which was visually appealing however lacked intensity on the pallet.
followed by dry wallaby pies. for a bit of freshness we next opted for the snapper ceviche, which looked stunning however yet again disappointed us, lacking a generous amount of salt & acidity.
next up was the drunken chicken served on a crumpet, very heart & comforting but soggy and too rich.
we finished off with the rib eye steak with salsa verde to share; well cooked piece of meat aged well however the warrigal greens combination was questionable.
decided not to go for desserts after a very rich & oily meal and ended our lunch with a 1986 paul giraud armagnac.

overall, attentive & warm service by the somm & other waitstaff, fantastic views, however food was too rich & heavy on the tarragon in multiple dishes.

unfortunately underwhelming.

ps: skip the paid sculptureparkwalk & wine tasting.

a stunning winery set against the backdrop of the morning peninsula. the modern cellar door overlooks the coast, when making a booking try to ask for a table by the window to be rewarded by the stunning sea side views. the garden outside features a sculptureparkwhich is a nice walk for afterwards (diners receive a complimentary ticket otherwise it’s $10).

my starter was the carrot soufflé. it wasn’t a traditional soufflé, to me it felt more like a mousse. it’s served with some lightly toasted brioche bread so you can soak up all the sauce.

duck breath from the great ocean road on a bed of broad beans was a hearty dish. the duck was a generous serve together with the veg (didn’t need sides with this main!). i wasn’t blown away though by the flavours.

yoghurt mousse with apple and citrus salad was a light, refreshing dessert to finish off a stunning 3-course meal. i loved the tangy citrus fruit on top, stewed apple and the light yoghurt mousse and ice cream.

to start the winery location is beautiful! we had lunch in the restaurant which allowed you to roam the sculptureparkfor free. the food and wine was very good.! wallaby pie topped with a slice of pickle was a nice bite size starter. the john dory with xo sauce was delicious. will definitely be back in summer for another leisurely day
