the wife and i went sunday to watch the cowboys vs packers game with some friends. we showed up late so we missed the first round of ordering, but were quickly taken care of by our server who brought out water for us. unfortunately this would be the last time he did something right for us. since there was only 4 of us at our table, i was not prepared for the amount of errors and excuses we got from our server. since i hadn't eaten all day i ordered a beer and a wing basket right off the bat. the rest of our party waited until later to order some food. he brought out my beer quickly but the wings took a bit longer, which was fine because they were busy. half way through my meal my wife and the rest of our friends order their food which consisted of two appetizers and two meals. when our server finally returned with the food, we were missing one of the appetizers. he appologized for the mix up and admitted that he simply forgot to put in the order. that is fine with me, he owned up to it and appologized and returned very quickly with the missing appetizer. after eating a few bites of everyone elses food, my wife decided to order her own meal, and yet again, it was mysteriously "lost in the back." according to our server. so once again, he had to go and rush one of our items through. once my wifes food finally arrived i ordered one last beer. after our server returned twice to check on us with out my beer, i asked where it was and he again appologized for the delay and went to check on it. when he returned with the beer he tried to play it off as a "lack of my teammates helping me out." now if any of these errors happened on their own, they would be acceptable, most of the serving staff appears to be college age or under after all. but for there to be three errors in one meal shows a lack of effort, concentration, or caring by our server. my wife went and spoke to the manager and we were given a new server who was very polite and professional and actually served us what we ordered in a timely manner.
the only other thing that bothered us was it was very hot inside the restaurant. we were told it was because there were so many people inside that the a/c couldnt keep up. maybe something to think about if you plan on going in the middle of the summer seeing as its the middle of october and it was 80 f when we were there. other than the terrible server we started out with, the food, atmosphere, and beer were great as always. i am a huge fan of their boneless wings and the ranch tossed waffle fries. i dont know if i will go to this one again, i will probably go to the one in allen since it is closer to my house.
