pizza my heart was founded in 1981 and remains family-owned with many locations in california. i visited their restaurant in the bay street mall in the oakland-area, and it is located towards the south end of this outdoor mall near the movie theater. pizza my heart offers quick pizza-by-the-slice as well as whole pies, plus bread sticks, wings, and salads. i tried two slices of pepperoni and sausage, but they have many more interesting topping combinations if you desire – some of them are even award-winning. i was impressed with the fact that my slices still tasted pretty fresh despite them already having been prepared and then just reheated when i ordered them. in fact, the crust still managed to be fairly crispy on the outside. another thing that i liked about pizza my heart was that they offered a lot of extra seasonings, such as garlic powder, basil, and olive oil, for you to add to your pizza yourself. in general, i’m not a huge fan of pre-made pizza-by-the-slice, but pizza
