buzzworthy. pitch: it's a happenin' place.
if you've got an appetite for the social scene, the communal tables & packed house @ pitch should fit the bill.
good menu, clearly focused. nice pie combinations.
*dinner special sounded great but, due to lack of stomach space, i held off. (spinach&ricotta crusted rack of lamb) coal fired oven produces a nice crust for the pies, and oven roasted seasonal vegetables were actually delightful.

pitch isn't a five star restraunt, and im not sure it would stand out in another city. but its the best artisan pizza i can find in this chain infested omaha. :d

fig and arugala, really??? yes, really. it was tasty and so were the meatballs!

large group. do not make a reservation with pitch for a large group. they cannot handle it and will not resolve problems. other people's food looked good. i received mine after the group had eaten; two of our group had to leave before the food arrived. it is not good planning to accept a group reservation that you cannot accommodate.

great food & great wine. after hearing a friend rave about pitch pizza in dundee i thought i would make the drive from west o to mid-town to see what the hubbub was all about. i am now making that drive every week or so. i haven't had a bad experience yet. the food is great. the wine list if very nice and try the signature pitch black - i am buying it for home use now. it can be noisy so large groups may be difficult and it is very trendy so the wait can be a bit long. i hope willy puts a pitch in west o.

liked it... until last visit. we loved pitch for some tasty pizza until just recently. my husband and i went during dinner time, without a reservation, and were not surprised that it was jam packed. so, we decided to sit at the bar for dinner. when we got there, we got a warm greeting and smile from the bar tender, a pretty blond woman who presented us with our menus and reviewed the night's specials. after she left, i tried to have a conversation with my husband. unfortunately, the music was so loud, i couldn't hear him sitting right next to me. at that point, we changed our minds and decided to have a drink and wait for a table. we had full intention of paying our bar tab and tipping the bartender, because she had been so gracious. when the bartender came back to take our orders i apologized, and stated that we had changed our minds and were going to eat in the dinning room. her demeanor completely changed- she cut me off and walked away while i was still talking. i tried to laugh it off with my husband, but she came back a moment or two later, and demanded we pay for our drinks before we left. the rest of our meal was satisfactory- but the bartender's be-atchy attitude made us decide to not return. shame.

left something to be desired. i and 3 friends went to pitch on saturday, april 28th and had a reservation for 5:30. we were celebrating my friends 49th birthday. although the food was good, the service needs work. although we had a reservation (for early evening) we still had a 20 to 30 minute wait. when seated, it was at a table for 8, my friends and i were on one end and what appeared to be a newly dating couple on the other end. we ordered drinks, appetizers and entree's. i do like the food. but after paying our bill and sitting for a few minutes, we were asked to please leave as others were waiting. i have had wait staff at other locations politely ask if there is anything else we needed if we did not leave shortly after paying our check, but i have never been asked to leave.

i'm not sure i'll be back.

awful!!! just because i thought this was a real pizzeria & not some trendy upstart in dundee i was verbally assaulted by the bartender. if you don't want to eat what the rest of your party wants to eat then forget it. they don't do special orders of any kind. this includes slices of pizza or pizza in halves. this place will not be around long.

we just visited the west omaha location for a relaxing dinner out with a couple that we haven't seen in a while.  we are new parents and found a sitter and had a fantastic night planned out with dinner, drinks and some desert at this small local restaurant.  unfortunately at an hour and 20 minutes into our evening, the "hostess" came over an demanded that we either leave in 10 minutes or move to the bar to continue our evening.  she said "you should have been told you only have 90 minutes".  well, one we were not or we never would have spent our money at this establishment and two, most places would be proud that we choose their establishment to continue spending money as long as we were being friendly, and respectful, which i assure you we were.  it's insulting to me that i have been to some of the best restaurants in the united states and yet at a local restaurant i get kicked out on a timer.  i'm sadden that you are considered a part of the community and i hope that visitors to our area are treated with more respect than we were this evening.  thanks for your time, i'm sure it's your managerial policy that your "hostess" was following, so i am wasting my time writing this, but i needed you to understand how important it is to fit into a community, not just push people around on timers.

let me start of by stating the positive.  for many years my wife, friends and i have been visiting pitch pizzeria and have enjoyed many meals and great service.  today that image was completely destroyed.  we entered pitch west to be greeted by the hostess who started by saying we had three options, table one had a reservation in 60 minutes, table two. at the high top. had a reservation in 90 minutes or we could sit at the bar.  to be clear, we arrived at 5:20pm for happy hour.  i have been in the service industry for over a decade and worked for some of the finest restaurants in omaha, prime steak houses, and was floored by this time limit for eating at a restaurant.  it is very likely we would have finished our meal prior to that timeframe, but being given an ultimatum as soon as we arrived is bad service.  after speaking with the manager we agreed to stay and sit at the bar.  this is when bad service went to rude service, the vp of operations, dean leisman, came over after we sat down and interrupted a private conversation my wife and i were having to continue to inform us how we should have made a reservation if we wanted to eat at his restaurant.  from there things got even worse, i am shocked by the disrespect and unprofessional attitude displayed by a vp of operations of a business not to mention a restaurant.  after being "scolded" by the vp of operations for not making a reservation i told him that i would be leaving.  his response was "good".  it was only shortly after this incident i learned he was the "vp of operations".  as i exited the restaurant i spoke with the manager who was very friendly and convinced us to stay originally and informed him of how we were treated.  during that conversation the vp of operations dean leisman said and i quote "i am the owner and don't give them anything, let them leave". this was very embarrassing as we were chased out of the restaurant by the vp of operations or as he calls himself the "owner".  we will never return and will be spreading our experience to anyone that is willing to listen.  do not eat here unless you want to be treated terribly.  i cannot express enough dismay.  the worst part about this entire experience is pitch was our favorite restaurant.

appetizers, salads, and pizzas are always delicious. used to hate the crowds, but the last two weekday evenings i've gone, it's been pleasant. not sure if it's the days i've gone or the crowds are now being split with the new place out west, but a much happier experience now.

a hip pizza joint that has great drinks and tasty pizza. a great staff and a nice atmosphere made up for the wait time in the nearly nonexistent waiting area. i ordered the doc pizza and the a-bros to drink. amazing combo for a warm night.

tried arancini appetizer today.  delicious.  absolutely professional, attentive, cordial, friendly, pleasant staff.  one of the absolute best places in omaha.

the atmosphere vibe is young and hip. the waiters are knowledgable about the menu and very enthusiastic about their jobs. and the food is awesome. had the monte cristo for the sunday brunch. very filling and fresh.

love love love this place! every time i have been here i have received amazing customer service, and the food is phenomenal! i try to order something different each time, and each time its my new favorite!!

i was going to order the lobster mac and cheese witch my fiancée was having but the waitress told me i could not order the same thing and she told me what i was having. now iam sure if i spoke up and said no i want the lobster mac and cheese it would have been ok but i was in shock because ive never had a waitress tell me what iam having. i had the house made pappardelle and  thought to myself it better be good. it was very good.  better than her lobster mac and cheese. very fun and loud place with classic rock blaring in the backround but expensive for a pizza and pasta place.
