should have read reviews!. what a disappointing experience! drove from melbourne to have brunch here. waited half hour to have order taken and can understand were busy.then waited and waited and waited for food. understand busy but people came after us and ordered after us but were served before us! when asked about our food were told "ït's coming" but it never came! walked out!

so good to see this place even after years is still serving yummy wholesome food .. i've been here a handful of times overs it lifespan and with great lengths of time between visits , it's great to know when you visiting from out of town, there's a place you can rely on ..

worst lasagna i've had! totally flavorless! told 2 waiters and they didn't seem to care. very disappointed! other meals were good but service wasn't great either.

best breakfast menu on the peninsula, great coffee.

my family are locals to the area & love dee's. had breakfast there about 4 or 5 times & never been disappointed. love the coffee, love the eggs . look forward to having dinner soon

shakshouka/ricotta hotcakes. great service, staff were all very vibrant first thing in the morning, meals beyond words and we'll definitely be back.

the was a very popular little cafe just a stones throw from the beach. the food was really enjoyable and my coffee was very tasty! from the conversations overheard it was clear that this is treated as the local by many folks and it is not hard to see why!

not anymore. when i first went was lovely. good service and food. however went downhill fast. calamari chewy, service slow and attitude of waiter person was 'meh'. i always give benefit of the doubt, tried twice more....forget it, i ended up leaving with not even being offered a menu. locals are important for your rep....oh well, this local will not recommend, what a shame :(

my favourite spot!. my partner & i venture to dee's as often as possible for breakfast or lunch. such a comfortable, funky & unpretentious wee place. best coffee this side of the city. friendly & relaxed staff. the highlight is definitely the food. great quality, inspired cuisine with great flavours & well presented. oh & the donuts!!! the wine list is also amazing with lots of great local drops to choose from. dee's is a must....will be back!!!

love this place!! the food speaks for itself but unfortunately i have to agree about the other comments about the staff.... if the staff have a little less attitude and make it more clear weather you order at the counter yourself or be served at your table??
if these issues are fixed then we all have found the perfect place : )

yummy!!. my friend was excited to have me experience dee's kitchen and i have to say i was very impressed. we went on a wednesday for lunch. they do not take bookings for lunch but luckily there was one table for two available inside. as soon as we were seated we received water/ menues. we ordered wine which came immediately. i had smashed rosemary potato and pumpkin vegetable pastilli which had two beautifully cooked poached eggs on top. really it only needed one egg as i was extremely full after this and did not need to finish it..but of course i did. my friend had calamari and a side of smoked paprika chips with aioli. the calamari was fresh!! and delicious. however, we went outside for a few minutes and came back to the paprika chips having been taken away (there was more than half a bowl left and we had been still picking..hadnt finished) the prices are extremely reasonable and i found the staff to be very efficient but not overly friendly. they were not rude but did not appear to be over the moon to be there. the place has a lovely kind of rustic atmosphere. over all a really good dining experience and i will be back. judging from others feedback and my experience, the staff just need to be a bit friendly and appear as though they want to be there. i will definatley be back. :)

this place is a must..if you haven't been here, do yourself a favour and come breakfast, lunch and dinner. by far the best eatery on the peninsula...amazing!!!

yum!. i work in the area and experienced my first 'dee's kitchen' pide the other day. it was so delicious! i generally don't like falafel but it was the only choice i had left at about 3:30 for lunch. it was the best sandwich i have ever had.
been back often and i love trying the different combinations on offer.
the staff could smile a little more but i know what its like after a busy lunch service! keep it up guys. will be back

underwhelming. pretty disappointed. the food was overpriced ($7.50 for a plain croissant). attitude and bad service from most of the wait staff. time for food and coffee to arrive was close to 20 mins and there weren't many people there.
we won't be returning. such a shame as they could be the best in the area.

booked a lunch catering for 8 people. the chef was very accommodating, service was fantastic and the food was amazing!! all of our guests were really happy with the food. would definitely recommend.
