amazing food, i had the smashed rosemary potato and pumpkin, and hubby had the turkish, i think that what it’s called, and both were delicious. i think we went at their busy time as the food took a little long, but worth the wait.

very good restaurant that accommodates vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets. the serving portions might seem less for the price but they actually fill you up just the right amount.

the food is made fresh and is absolutely delicious. the staff is also very sweet and attentive. the entire ambience of the calm and easy going, matches the environment at dromana. would highly recommend it. also be sure to call ahead as it's very busy during lunch time.

the people were lovely, and the place is beautiful (even though a few tables are almost completely in the dark).
but that had to be the worst big breakfast i think i’ve ever had i’m afraid. everything was unseasoned, the egg was undercooked, and it came with a single lonely rash of bacon and two tiny sausages. it looked pretty miserable too unfortunately - and all for full price. these are easy things to fix, i wish them all the best.

had lunch here today. and to be honest, the menu is lacking. customer service was pretty good, but noticed around the other tables they all had the wrong thing brought to their table. not sure i’d come back to be honest. food was average and not worth the price.

ordered the pork & slaw pulled pork with apple slaw, poached eggs paprika hollandaise, chilli jam on sourdough. the pork, slaw and bread were just ok. can't really stuff that up. hollandaise...well lol. not even close! why am i laughing!? upon asking the waitress to let the kitchen know their hollandaise was inedible and had split (see photo), the chef proceeded to laugh and chuckle...almost seemed to portray me as fussy. i certainly hope he was laughing at himself. i'm not the type of person to fish for free meals but some acknowledgement for the poor quality food served would have been great! wouldn't have rated so low if you just took it on the chin. others on the table ordered various meals...just average overall i think. should have trusted my instincts and gone somewhere else that morning.

sunday lunches with the fam. burgers nice. dips platter nice. honors dish mediocre. lasagna dish a disgrace (unless you enjoy black burnt chunks - sadly i do, being a glutton for punishment).
ok service. given the incredibly high prices, i’d avoid this place unless you enjoy being a ripped off hipster. each to their own.

‘pier street kitchen’ is a little tucked away gem!
been several times now, and will defiantly keep coming back! food and coffee is fantastic, as well as happy and helpful staff! slowly trying all the breakie menu options, and can’t fault much on them.
very happy i’m a short walk from a great cafe

came here on australia day public holiday for brunch. quite busy, and was not very good at organising tables as there was a wait. ordered food and soon after one of the waiters came and told one of our diners that they ran out of muffins. all good, and no problem with that however 50 minutes later we still haven’t got our food yet. then they come over and tell the same guest that they ran out of bircher muesli for him - surely you don’t tell someone this after we have already been waiting for our food for 50 minutes? he didn’t even order anything else that required cooking because didn’t want it to take even longer. quite a waste of our time on a public holiday. finally our food came - such a shame about the service because the food was not too bad.

hey, when you wait for quality, freshly prepared, sensational meals - that mean's the place is buzzing with diners, you can relax and chat with your family and friends whilst waiting for your meals and the reason it's so busy is because it is the best cafe in the mornington peninsula!!!  my first choice for a perfect coffee, dessert or all day breakfast!   the management have many years of expertise and give their customers nothing short of a great experience.  ps... during summer holidays you will wait at the local takeaway shops for a good 40min for your food - at least here i can sit, enjoy a drink and know i will be more than satisfied when my food arrives!!!

such a wonderful place to eat!!! saw grouchy reviews from customers who had to wait for their food this morning, as it’s probably one of the best places to eat in the area & everyone knows it!! so, we were afraid to go here, even though reviews for the food were so good, but so happy we did. 😊👍 owner & staff were lovely. we didn’t wait at all for service or our orders. food & coffee were amazing! btw - best falafel and dips i’ve ever had!
