tucked away in a little secluded zone of central wellington is pickle & pie. if you are after a meal that is comforting and familiar but is elevated with some quality ingredients then this is the place.
the staff are all very friendly and the service was good enough. overall nothing to write home about but definitely nothing to complain about.
the space is light and bright, although i will mention that it does feel rather cramped - maybe a few too many table and chairs in this one. it is a modern space also with some lovely outdoor seating!
the food here is the real winner and why you would pay the visit. the specialty here definitely appears to be pies. but i must say give a sandwich a try! unfortunately this time round none of us tried the pies, but they do look excellent (maybe a little overpriced). the sandwiches however, are simply delicious. i got the reuben where the meat was sliced right in front of us! it was fresh and simplydeliciousaccompanied with their in house pickles (which you can buy yourself on their vast wall of pickles!). someone also got the po-boy which was alsodeliciousand worth the try. the menu is hard to choose from due to the range ofdelicioussoundings things - that just means we will be back!
overall great little place with awesome food!
