disappointed. on several previous occasions we hadgoodexperiences. on this visit, our 42nd wedding anniversary, was extremely disappointing. service was again very good, but our food was below average in taste. guess the word bland describes it best. we did enjoy the wine and piano player.

post cowboys stadium tour/huge appetite. lourdes and i did a tour of cowboys stadium with 3 other friends. we had worked up agoodappetite while touring the dallas cowboys stadium for at least 4 hours. our meals ranged from the eggplant parmigiana, tortellini della nonna, to the spaghetti aglio e olio. there was not one complaint from any of us. the food was fantastic and the service was great. i believe the final bill was still less then $100.00. what more could you ask for. a big aaa plus

consistently marvelous!. my husband and i have been dining here for 27 years. this place has never disappointed us. their dishes are sogoodand have been amazingly consistent over the 27 years. the owner is very involved and always there. i almost hate to rave so much because i feel like this is our secret place. we dine out and travel a lot so we do have much to compare it to.

good restaurant in north arlington. it was going to be my mother-in-law's 90th birthday dinner and we needed a place for 14 or so. my wife checked around and decided on this place because they could place us together in a corner and there was no upcharge for bringing our own cake or anything else. we just paid for our normal meals off the menu and they even split the check for us.

very classy place, with the piano man playing older tunes, accompanied by a saxophonist on occasion. the tunes were geared to the crowd, but it was a relatively quiet restaurant where you could actually hear someone talking across the table.

it was a perfect place for an occasion or romantic dinner with dim lights and candles. they have a private room that seats up to 50, but we didn't need all that room. there were several other birthdays being celebrated as well. everyone seemed to having agoodtime and the waiters were very skilled and pleasant.

the food was verygoodto our experienced palates and i assure whoever mentioned chef boy-ar-dee that i've had chef boy-ar-dee, (even warmed over) and there's no comparison to the quality served here. several of us had the spinach ravioli and it was delicious although at ($13.75) admittedly a lot more pricey than from a can ($1.85), but sometimes you do get what you pay for.

the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that i've had great italian food, too and they don't rate quite that high. however, i freely admit that this is the best italian dining i've had in arlington, texas.

slacks and dress shirts or nice knit shirts are dressy enough for this place and jeans are very acceptable at lunch. of course, you can wear a tux if you want, they don't discriminate.

piccolo's the dream of great food at a reasonable price. piccolo's is a northern italian restaurant. they have a small piano bar area off to one side and a backroom that can sit about fifty people for special events. piccolo's is one of the family secrets for great food in a wonderful atmosphere. i refer to it as great restaurant for reasonable price, excellent food, and wonderful ambience. this is a place were that wonderful european tradition of being served by all male wait staff brings a certain touch of style. you can show up in boots and jeans but most everyone is in slacks and a nice collared shirt. this tends to be the place for the who's who of arlington. i have often dined with famous people less than two tables away. the patrons have a history of respecting the privacy of others while making them feel welcome.
favorites have always been the salmon off the board without question. the veal scaloppini is wonderful. i am notorious for ordering side dishes like composing music overture. italian sausage is wonderful with the fettuccine alfredo. the linguini with fresh clams go great with the shrimp "gamberi alla provinciacle." the list can go on and on…
i have to warn you it can be very romantic and enjoyable. often dinner is finished with chocolate covered perfitta rolls and agoodcup of coffee. it seems we have replaced the cigarette with a nice cup of coffee after a meal.
please give piccolo's an opportunity to shine i don't think you will be disappointed. as a note- of holidays can be very busy and i would recommend reservations. yes, they still do that
