good- mostly. pho's is a great stop for authentic asian food.. featuring chinese, thai, and vietnamese. the best dish hands down is red/yellow/greenthaicurry dish - i usually get it w/ shrimp so i couldn't vouch for the quality of their other meats. shrimp is cooked to perfection will juices still bursting. flavors are knockout, and if you don't like the taste of eggplant, this dish may challenge your previous judgements, as their roasted eggplant is a wonderful accompaniment to the dish. on the flip side, i've also had the duck soup there and was less than impressed. i've also had nibbles of other dishes (no names of which i can remember) and they all settled well with my palate. affordable prices, between 6-8 dollars on average, and the portions will leave you feeling full. i'm glad to have pho's close by :)

what's changed???. i've eaten at pho's since it opened (the last time was a few months ago) and have always enjoyed the food. tonight, i ordered my favs:thaibasil chicken and szechuan green beans, and they were nothing like before. the basil chicken tasted only like soy sauce (no basil flavor or heat as before) and looked like something i fished out of my garbage disposal (peppers, onions, tomatoes, peas, chicken, noodles, and oh yes, one piece of basil). the green beans also tasted only like soy sauce and were fried with onions...who does this? the fried rice that came with both dishes was stale (yes, it actually tasted stale) and mushy at the same time. yuck! was this somebody's first day on the job or has pho changed ownership/managers???

not so great anymore. i have worked close to pho asian noodle since the day they opened. i would have given this place 5 stars the first year, but it has continually gotten worse. the quality of the ingredients and the cooking have gotten worse and worse each time i eat here. today i made the mistake of ordering hot pepper chicken (this was the last time). it was over sauced with 5 hot pepper rings, no green onion, no garlic and the white onions were mushy and brown from cooking to long. to make matters worse the portion is tiny compared to thethaiasian bistro across the street, which offers the same dish with fresh crunchy ingredients at the same price and nice the food. also when you ask for no ricethaiasian bistro will add extra veggies at no cost. pho asian noodle charges extra. today was the last time i will order food from pho asian noodle it was once a place that i suggested to friends and coworkers if they wanted a spicy asian dish for lunch. never again. this place has become a terrible place to eat.

looks like a taco bell, but.... it's actually one of the betterthaiplaces in town! i recently graduated from osu and this is where i'd go to take a break from long hours in my office on west campus. i've actually never had their pho...i'm too torn between the red curry (with noodles instead of rice...they make their own noodles so why not?) and thethaibeef basil to order anything else. portions are huge and prices are low, so it's a great value.

great execution. ate here for the second time on tuesday aug. 14th. the first time i was alone and tried a house combo special. soup (wonton or sweet and sour) or an egg roll with the entre and either white or fried rice with a fountain soda for $7.75. the sweet and sour soup was very flavorful and full bodied. the fied rice was very good and capable of standing on its own. the entre (basil chicken) was excellent. on tuesday i went back taking my family. i ordered the pho dac biet. one word -- excellent. extremely tender slices of lean meat, a bowl with a rich beefy broth and chock full of noodles. it comes with plate of bean sprouts, fresh jalapeno slices, coriander leaves (cilantro) and sprigs ofthaibasil to be added to the soup. it was very large, very filling and delicious. my family ordered three of the specials similar to what i had ordered my previous visit and all were full, enjoyed their meals and wanted to come back again soon. they ordered general tso's chicken (wife who played it "safe" in her words), the pepper chciken with slices of jalapenos throughout andthaispicy noodle with chicken. the wonton soup was one of the best we have ever sampled and had a few slices of bamboo shoot in it (a first). all the entres were fresh, hot and delicious. though spicy the heat did not cover the flavors but greatly accentuated them. the flavors were well balanced and had great depth. all the ingrediants were fresh and of high quality. we all sampled the various dishes and there was unaminity in our like for all the food we were served. it was, overall, an excellent dining experience.

superior pad thai. a friend and i ordered from pho just this afternoon. the chicken padthaiwas flavorful with just the right amount of spicy and peanuttyness. my friend said herthaispicy noodle with chicken was delicious as well.

the portions are huge and the price is perfect. for next time, i would love to try the dan dan noodle bowl and the chicken with cold lettuce wrap.

large portions + cheap price = great value. vietnamese food - largely characterized in the united states by bowls of pho - seems to be the new trendy cuisine these days, much likethaifood (led by phad thai) was a few years ago. regardless, this is one trend i won't complain about, as i am a fan of both the cuisine and of the growing diversity of international delights that we have available to us recently. if you've never ventured into vietnamese food, what are you waiting for?

pho asian noodle house is a casual, family-owned establishment located in the old vintage taco bell building on the north side of lane avenue just west of campus. don't judge the book by its cover, however, as this still sits as a little gem in upper arlington's repertoire. there is parking for about 10 cars in the lot outside, with the drive-thru still open as an option. if you didn't call ahead, though, i'd advise against the drive-thru, as once you place you're order, they'll just ask you to pull ahead and wait for it to be prepared. when dining inside, you place your order at the counter and then have a seat. the staff will bring your order out once its ready (around a 5 minute wait) and then they'll buss your table when you're finished. the décor is modest, but they do have several televisions, as well as a bevy of ohio state memorabilia, hung on the walls.

the menu is very accessible to almost everyone, with a variety chinese andthaidishes alongside the vietnamese options. in addition, these dishes seem to be tailored to both those patrons accustomed to only the americanized version of asian cuisine (options such as general tso's chicken and crab rangoon) and those looking for a more-authentic experience (options such as pho dac biet andthaitom kah gai). further, they do allow you to customize their dishes as much as you like, such as increasing the heat level or leaving out a particular ingredient. and if you order any of the pho or noodle soup options, don't be surprised when they hand you a heaping plate full of accompaniments such as bean sprouts, holy basil, and chili peppers for you dining pleasure.

the best part, however, is that the price for almost all entrees is around $6-7, the portions are large enough to allow for a bounty of leftovers, and the food itself is far better than your average asian fare. the staff is quite polite and inviting, too, so no complaints as far as service. also, they do not serve alcohol here, but thethaiiced tea w/soy milk is a great substitute.

it would be tough for me to say that this is the best vietnamese or asian food in columbus, but it is very good, comparably cheap, and certainly worth a try. if you fancy vietnamese food, i'm sure you've probably already heard of this place; if you're new to the cuisine, i'd recommend you go ahead and take the plunge, as it seems it will be around for a while. enjoy.

must-try dish:thaicurry chicken fried rice (yellow curry, for those curious)

wonderful, a must eat at place. great value, great food, friendly and very fast service.

i wanted to go to tai's asian bistro across the street but they were really busy (another great place). by chance, i stopped in pho anhg and it was great.

the padthaiwas a success! the hot and sour soup is hot and good. the beef and wild mushroom lunch special is great if you like both. a friend said his noodle soup was very good and the greens were very fresh and tasty! though it's 15 minutes from work, i still find myself venturing out to this wonderful place to eat.

great!. i have eaten there a few times the first time i had the broccoli beef, it took a little long because they ran out of broccoli, but someone had already left to go get some more. the food was great, the next time i ordered the padthaiand i have to say it is one of the better ones in columbus. they dont mind if you want to customize your order and they are always really friendly.
