the best philly steak subs in va!. i love the philly steak sub at this place - it smells great from 1/2 a block away. i am in need of one right now!! can't wait to get back for more!!

yummmmm. i cant say enough about this place. i moved out of the area for 2 years, but upon every visit i made sure to get a delicious cheesesteak. i always look forward to my next cheesesteak. even on a bad day the sandwiches are better than anywhere else on a good day. i recommend the cheesesteak - i have never had anything else so i cant comment on it. i love it with grilled onions, sweet peppers and mayo. its worth dealing with the hrbt to cross the bridge for it.
btw they accept credit cards now.

best cheesesteaks i have ever had so far. the bread was not soggy, the meat was very tasty, and the cheese and mushrooms gave it notch above the others i have had. i would recommend this place to anyone.

the cheesesteak but if you like a nice ham and cheese like i do, you must try their grilled ham and cheese! easily one of the best sandwiches in norfolk, and always a nice friendly staff.

i miss this place and can still taste it after 20
years. seriously fixing to call and ask if i can have a couple fedex'd to me. is it possible?

kudos...one of the best i've had. they have really good customer service this was my first time eating there but i will be returning and the bread wasn't soggy which was really good for me. i really don't like american yellow cheese on my subs i normally get provolone but i forgot to tell him that, they put the yellow cheese on it but it was still good. i got the mushroom onion cheese steak. i was happy with the size and the taste of the sub.

good. i was here a few days ago.. it's a nice hole in the wall place. the man that took my order had nice customer service. my order came pretty quick. i've never had a cheese steak from philly so i wouldn't know the comparison. but it's was pretty good.

very good philly! one of the best i've ever had. busy little hole in the wall. at lunch time, it's standing room only. no table service but that's not their style. order and go!

steak-ums!!! greasy, government cheese, over priced and disgusting !!! i went there to try it out since i'm actually from philly (unlike the owner) and by the time i got my cheesesteak-um and walked to my seat the roll was soggy and dripping grease ! i took one bite and threw it out! the workers are rude ! i told the short little old lady and she yelled at me and didn't do anything to fix it ! what a waste of $8 !!! never again !!!!

so. darn. good.. mmmmmm.... cheesey. meaty. just enough greasy. that's one good cheesesteak, my friends. be forewarned: they only accept cash and you should call ahead, esp during the lunch rush. but so worth the wait. amazing. absolutely delicious.

best philly in va!. being from philly and after traveling around the us there aren't many places away from home that have good cheesesteaks. philly style is a touch of home and i go as much as i can. much respect for their efforts and no every place in philly doesn't use "whiz" to make their cheesesteaks that's a tourist opinion.

great cheesesteak!. the only cheesesteak i have ever eaten anywhere was pat's in philly. if you can't make it to pats then stop here. outstanding philly steaks and worth the wait!

still good, used to be great. this place used to make truly authentic philly steaks, and by far the best in the area. i used to visit once a month or so, for many years. i recently started going again, and i have to say the quality of the phillies have declined overall. i don't know if it's the preparation or the meat, but they simply are not as good as they used to be. still, if you want a philly steak, this place will beat any franchised place out there.

my guilty pleasure. flew back to norfolk from cali and had to get a cheesesteak. man, just as i remembered them.
