excellent food, but service was awful. the food is terrific and the ambiance is great-- even parking is good for manhattanbeachbut we went for my mom's birthday and got terrible service. the restaurant wasn't even that busy. even after telling the hostess it was her b-day, our waitress did nothing for my mom but brought a dessert to the b-day party a few tables down. i guess all the b-day gifts she opened right there at the table weren't a big enough tip off... who knows. either way, the food is good, but bad service can easily ruin a dinner. you roll the dice on this one.
