peter's chinese cafe

healthy chinese food - no msg in entrees!. i've been eating at peter's chinese cafe for years. on cold snowy/rainy nights i'll often call in for delivery. service in the cafe and delivery is friendly and prompt. the food is always consistent and so delicious. because peter uses chicken stock instead of msg to enhance flavor, entrees are healthier than what you get at most chinese restaurants. he uses fresh ingredients. the chicken and green beans is my favorite entree. if he doesn't have fresh green beans, he won't serve this dish. he will substitute green beans for other veggies if you ask. the egg rolls are made to order, crispy, flaky and loaded with flavor. i like the combo fried rice too - they put a generous portion of meat and seafood in the dish. other tasty favorites are the wonton soup and crab wontons. so glad to have peter's in the neighborhood!

vegetarians beware. chicke.... vegetarians beware.
chicken stock is used in all vegetarian dishes unless you tell them not to. very odd choice.

if your in the mood for fresh and flavorful chines go to peters! peter the owner, is hilarious, he made our meal enjoyable! unfortunately they don't serve alcohol but they do deliver! give this place a try!

great food, hilarious owner. we had awesome chinese food here, and great conversation with the owner. he just tells it like it is- probably upsetting a few soft-shelled folks in the process - but he is certainly genuine. the food is great, incredibly cheap, and he doesn't skimp on quality ingredients. he even took us to the back to show us the ingredients and prove to us that they were high-quality. eat here!

not just for takeout. come on in and have a seat! likely, peter will greet you at the door and wait on you. good food and good company!

turning away good business in a bad economy!!!. we are a very well know hospital that resides near peter's chinese cafe. keep in mind that we have said nothing but good things about this resturant and have referred lots of patient's and doctors, rn's ecetera over the years which inturn our hard earned dollars help them stay so successful in this hard economy. however i think that the success has gone to the owner's head (peter chan). tonight while trying to order for a busy, hungry crew. mr. peter chan turn away our business or over $100 because of a few credit cards. meaning he is now only taking cash in my eyes. he stated "we do enough business without yours". he continued to try to argue with us instead of trying to correct a problem with good customer service to a long time buyer. he also told us that " his drivers loose credit card receipts and it makes it hard on him". however its our cards that tip him and his drivers.

my suggestion do not bit the hand that feeds you!!!!

i may not like peter, but his food sure is the best in denver. can't quit eating it!
