pei wei

disgusting. we have never been to a peiweiand decided to finally try it, afterall everyone always raves about it. i ordered the potstickers and mongolian beef because the mongolian at pf changs is to die for. this could have made me die! the potstickers were raw, the beef was drowned in sauce and the rice was undercooked. needless to say, this was our first and last time at pei wei. i would rather pay twice the amount for great food than the crap we got served here.

we went late afternoon and i think that most of the employees were on break because a large group of them were sitting at a table laughing and eating. that was a little annoying. the dirty tables were disgusting, too. i think the chef/cook must have been on break because that was the worst food i have ever had at pei wei. the potstickers were shaped like apple turnovers, the two steak dishes that we ordered had terrible sauces and strange looking left over vegetables in them. there were bits of lettuce and a soggy piece of spinach or kale or something in my beef teriyaki. i have had this dish before at another peiweiand have never seen a hodge podge of weird veggies in the dish. about thirty minutes after eating, i started having terrible gas and then loose bowels. totally disgusted with the whole experience. the only saving grace for the meal were the lettuce wraps, except the water on the lettuce was not dried off.

very good for inexpensive but tasteful meal..... we love pei wei! we typically get the edamame, vegetable spring rolls and sweet and sour shrimp with noodles. it is consistently great food, good portions and for a decent price. we have had our food not be up to par on occasion and they are quick to fix it and even offer to comp it without us even asking for that. we have a few peiweilocations around town and it is always our pick for asian cuisine. we love the set up at peiweiwith the ordering at the counter and than having your food taken to your table. it saves on our bill not to have a 15-20% tip and that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable!
