patisserie rhubarbe   ( @rhubarbe_mtl ) was recommended by a montreal friend of mine, it's a little gem tucked away on a side street with probably less than 15 seats dinning area. when we arrive on a sunday at brunch hour, the place was packed and there was a line forming just to grab some goodies to go. go thing we were only grabbing some sweets, so eating outside the store was acceptable given the sunny day it was. love how most of their creation came in cake size. wish they sell this by slice or have a mini version. yes, i wanted to try everything dacquise pistache & pamplemousse $5 pretty and delicate, love all the layers of texture and flavors.

yes, i wanted to try everything

dacquise pistache & pamplemousse $5
~ pretty and delicate, love all the layers of texture and flavors.

éclair banane, passion & dulcey $5.50
~ perfectly done with a traditional éclair recipe with the flavor packed banana cream, love how it was the perfect consistency. i am dreaming of it as i am writing this! best éclair!!!

kouing aman $4
~ never had that before, it's basically made with bread dough with layers of butter and sugar folded in. what a buttery and flakey goodness.

pot chocolat $4.50
~ i just had to get this in the cure little pot and it came with a mini wooden spoon. i swear it tasted as good as it look, i just love it's not too sweet especially the top crunchy dark chocolate crumble that was slightly bitter which was a great contrast to the creamy goodness.

verdict:
~ love love love!!! ♥♥♥
~ will have to come back next time i'm in montreal (hopefully soon)
~ highly recommend this place
~ perfect little yummy goodness at a very reasonably price (unlike toronto which will probably cost you $7-8 each)

not as exciting as d&g though. small place with pricy products. taste is normal. no surprise. if you think too long before ordering, the counter person gets annoyed :/

patisserie rhubarbe is amazing for a lazy afternoon. they serve drinks and pastries, cakes and a small amount of macarons. they have different kinds of cakes (loaf cakes and layer cakes). although their selection of macaron flavour is small, they tend to change it up frequently. their cheesecake was definitely the highlight of our visit. the two different textures of cheese (light and hard) was absolutely genius. highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!

tucked away on de lanaudière, just south of laurier, is a little gem by the name of  pâtisserie rhubarbe . opened in 2010 by pastry chef stéphanie labelle, this modest space houses an authentic pâtisserie, as well as a 12-seat dining area, where brunch is served on sundays. when we arrive at noon, the place is already packed to the gills, patrons spilling out onto the sidewalk, chatting as they wait for a table to free up. people pop in and out from time to time, boxes of pastries in hand. the place bustles along at a steady pace, without detracting from the warm, relaxed atmosphere. when it’s our turn to be seated, we’re led to the little wooden bar facing the kitchen– by far the best seat in the house if you’re eating solo, as you get to watch the kitchen action unfold. perusing the menu, i catch a glimpse of a staff member pitting and slicing a batch of ruby-red plums. the deep colour of those plums is like nothing i’ve ever seen, reminding me that rhubarbe is  serious  about its in
