"mexican" baked goods ?. lets not get off on the wrong foot thinking this is a anti anything statement.
i for one just like to get what i pay for.
in this case "french" pastries.......
why then is there, in the bakery where all of pp's baking done (baltimorest) only mexicans baking the pastries ??
come on now, for the prices charged here.
please...............

it's the little things that matter, even when it comes to little pleasures in life. every once in a while you have to revisit a classic to see how things should really be done. that's the feeling i had when i visited the classic french cafe, patisserie poupon, located in the old jonestown area onbaltimorestreet a few weeks ago.

my whiney requests to ned to ditch work early too were declined so i decided to have a pastry date with myself! i have always wanted to stop into this fantasticbaltimoreshop, but never had been in the neighborhood on a “free” afternoon.

perfect cake!. the patisserie poupon is the only authentic french bakery in thebaltimorearea. when you walk in your eyes may pop out of your head when you see the out of this world pastries and cakes.

my husband was just best man this past weekend and the bride and groom got their cake from here. i am still working on finding out which cake it was they exactly got but it was chocolate with a raspberry filling. the look of the cake was such a sight to see it was hard to watch them cut it. (i will update this post once i find out the name of the cake).

my husband and i picked up the cake for them saturday morning (parking can be tricky) but where very impressed with everything we saw an tasted! i can't wait to go back and try some other things!
